Overall: 3.75 Stars
First impressions: When I arrived, I found the parking lot small and the layout is one of those where you enter on one side and exit on the other.
Atmosphere: 5 stars. Decor is very much a romantic and fancy setting (like Olive Garden but maybe a little better). The inside is kind of posh (clean and kind of fancy; at least at the lobby).
Customer Service: 2 stars. I had called in an order for a 12 inch pizza to go. The woman who took my order had a strong hispanic ascent and seemed like she had difficulty communicating clearly with me.
Upon entering I was eventually helped by a man I assumed was the manager. He seemed like he was in a hurry and was very business like in the way he behaved. The second time I was there I didn’t feel like they were providing me with a lot of attention and there was almost no business except mine.
Quality: 4 stars. I ordered a pepperoni pizza. It was good but not incredible. Crust was 5 star. Something different was that there was no pizza sauce, like on a regular pizza, instead they used high quality oil. The pepperonis were good too but the cheese was something different; it did not really melt. Overall I’d give it 4 stars.
The second time I came in to eat in and had their spaghetti with meat sauce with bread and a small salad. The best thing about it was the bread. The spaghetti was watery, although the noodles were cooked to my liking. The salad was small but basically just lettuce with a tiny piece of tomato, olive, and onion.
Value: 4 stars.
At $12.98, the pizza was more expensive than I am used to compared to the big chain stores, for a bigger size. It felt like a 4 stars.
The spaghetti was not all that I hoped it would be but there was a lot of food to the meal. 4 stars.
A lot of the menu prices average between $10-$15. I don’t see myself eating here again.
It feels like it's a restaurant I would take a date to if I wanted to impress with the ambiance and if I wanted Italian food that would be as authentic as could be found in...
Read moreLuigi's Pizza is a great little restaurant, near the military base, in Wichita Falls, TX. The parking lot and dining rooms are always tidy and clean. They serve delicious authentic Italian food served each day, except Mondays when they close to give their staff a break. The Italian food is made fresh, daily. So far, everything we've eaten is superb. Today, we had lasagna and also manicotti. The food is served at lava temperatures. But while you're waiting for the food temperature to cool down there are yummy garlic bread to eat. Side note: they bake a 24-inch giant sized pizza that, in the box, will barely fit through the entry/exit door without a bit of twisting. The pizza box won't fit in my back seat so I have to put in the back of my van... It's actually that big! It'll feed a crowd, too. The atmosphere is relaxing. The music isn't blarring; instead it is soft and soothing. There are plenty of wine choices for selecting to sip with your meal. Lunch times offer a small salad with the meal. The servers are friendly and prompt; they're attentive to the tables. Our drink refills were timely. Excellent service and delicious food. We enjoyed our time at Luigi's Pizza. Definitely worth the drive to visit and share a meal...
Read moreThe food is good but unfortunately, I only got it once. I liked it so much, I of course wanted to try it again. I tried to order again and they turned they're phones off all night. I drove over there and stood inside the front lobby for over 15 minutes with several staff walking by without so much as a greeting or order taken. I finally had to leave without placing an order.
So a few days later I order on GrubHub. I called, informing them of my GrubHub order and ask for butter with my bread and plasticware since I just moved in and don't have everything unpacked yet. I got screamed at... "I don't sell butter!!!" Then 45 min later, Grub Hub texts me saying they're having to refund my order which should show on my card in 6 days because the restaurant didn't "see'' the order and refused to make it since they were getting ready to close by the time GrubHub went to pick it up. I ordered over an hour prior to close but by the time pick up came about it was 15 til close. Rude customer service. GrubHub staff were, however, so polite and apologetic. They truly were great.
I won't be ordering or "not ordering" I mean from this place again but I don't think they wanted me to or care of...
