El Ricardo’s Méxican Food — Restaurant in Wichita

Was a regular here, would come very often. Never really had any issues up until last night. I went inside to order food to go, I pay for it & they let me know one of the sides that comes with the food I ordered they were out. Of course after I already paid. They said they can substitute with refried beans or French fries. We went with the French fries and thought everything was fine. Drove all the way home mind you I live about 10-15 minutes away. Got home, food was cold and soggy including the fries. Portions were small when they’re usually not. Only thing hot was the jalapeño peppers on the side we paid extra for. Called first and the guy who’s the cashier said I’m sorry over and over and didn’t even offer to remake food or do a refund, then the line cut off and he didn’t even call back. I decided to drive all the way back just for them to say we were lying, the food was fine and they’re not doing a refund. They offered to remake food but at this point we didn’t want the food we just wanted the money back. I ended up leaving the cold food on the counter cause they expected me to take that back home. Also went here one time with my boyfriend, their parking lot is horrible and there’s metal wiring sticking out of the concrete by the drive thru window, he tripped and fell on the concrete, told the same cashier guy and he said he’ll talk to owner and nothing has happened and to this day the metal wiring is still there. Filed a dispute with my bank so either way I’m getting my money back and never...

Short version: great place, great food (street tacos) great service, highly recommended

It was taco Tuesday so perfect opportunity to check out.

I ordered 2 carne asada Street tacos and 3 Pollo Asada street tacos.

Now onto the food, what you really came here for. my order was prepared and presented within just a few minutes, I’ve included some pictures for you to view it yourself.

The chicken was cooked thoroughly and had a nice taste with the white onion and cilantro.

The carne Asada was cooked well, had a couple of bites that were a little tough but all in all I was very pleased with their tacos.

All these dollar taco Tuesdays that are going around currently in Wichita are a great value for the consumer, don’t forget to tip the wait staff based on the retail value of the meal ticket. I had great service, also had management come by and ask if everything was ok. nice touch!

I have been through the drive-thru several times with this place for a quesadilla, cashier is always friendly. Food is just average though. However three friends and I decided to go in for a change and we were really looking forward to some tasty street tacos. From the time my boyfriend and I placed our order to the time we got it, was approximately 10 minutes. That seemed exceedingly long seeing as though we were the only ones inside other than one table that had already been served. Drive-through wasn't very busy either. I ordered fish tacos and the fish stick was very crispy, but extremely small, literally like the size of my pinky. Rice was practically tasteless, but the beans were good. When my other friends arrived, their food took approximately 10 minutes each as well. All who ordered street tacos were extremely displeased with the price because of the size. These are tiny tacos, and when I say tiny I mean like two bites. Definitely not worth $2 a piece. More like 50 cent tacos.
