James (the manager) and Friendly staff were overwhelmed with business in Valentines Day and went the extra mile to ensure I was able to pick up the 10 dozen order I’d placed two weeks early. The line was out the door and cars around the building and into the parking lot of Dillons when I first went to pickup (too early) at 7:30am. My order wasn’t due till 9 I found out after l leaving and calling in, in order to speak with a person. I was assured my order would be ready at 9. Tried to pre-pay, was told they could not take cc over phone. I showed up at 9:30 after preparing my marketing materials to reflect the gifting of these special heart shaped “conversation starters”. I was told they were out of them. After speaking to the manager (nicely and understandingly) I got a new result. James saves the day by jumping into action and getting all 10 dozen completed. I waited and got an extra discount for my time. Many appreciated my gifts of these doughnuts that day. My marketing idea & efforts were not squashed. Many ppl I shared with also appreciated the efforts (whether knowingly or not) of James, and the other employees who helped make marking Thursday that fell on Valentine’s Day this year a success. One gal at the register even offered me coffee while I waited. I think it was a real stand up move to not just tell me sorry, we are...

Krispy Kreme,
The reason why they are so fascinating when it comes to joy within the public of the people knowing how the process works when Krispy Kreme employees are making a donut.doesnt mean they have the ability to stop it. Even though people can steal their recipe doesn't mean they are able or have the ability to stop or replicate the mechanism behind making a simple donut. They are still on top for a reason. Just because people are aware of what's going on behind the scene doesn't mean they are going to stop how Krispy Kreme makes their donuts for their customers (since 1937) and knowing the knowledge behind making a donut through the recipe of Krispy Kreme doesn't mean they are able to stop or compromise the way they do business. Just like football when it comes to a play, Krispy Kreme doesn't have to do an audible. Just because the defense is aware of what the offense is going to do doesn't mean they are going to stop it! This is why Krispy Kreme is so fascinating when it comes to the delightful joy of making a donut!...
Read moreI'm still mourning the days when we had a Krispy Kreme in the Hutchinson Walmart, but, NOT having one is probably the only reason I don't have to be rolled from one place to another like the Pillsbury Dough Boy in Ghostbusters. KK donuts really are unrivaled, though, so much so, that they are frequently worth a stop when we go to Wichita. They're uniform and aesthetically pleasing. The texture...melt in your mouth and even a day old, (like they ever last that long!) all you need to do is pop one in the microwave for 8 seconds and they're back to their seductively soft original texture. I never tire of the OG glazed doughnut, but, I am a sucker for a creme-filled bismark (not pudding or custard-filled, but, that dreamy, creamy stuff that looks kinda like shaving cream, but, tastes like the lovechild of wedding cake and cream horns.) The coffee's good here, it's always fascinating to watch the conveyor line. If I had to find a negative, it would be that the bathroom floors are always greasy and slippery, and it's always colder than a witch's t*t in a brass bra in the store, but, I honestly don't know what they could ever do about either of those things....
