My girlfriend and I decided to try this place out because we didn't want to make the drive to Saigon on North Broadway. Let me just say we won't be going back. We started out with the pork and shrimp Summer Rolls which we could tell were not fresh as the rice paper wrapping was hard and leathery. The pork was tough and fatty and my girlfriend found a dead bug on one of the shrimp inside the spring roll. Talk about unnerving but our food was already on its way so we decided oh well, it happens I guess. We both ordered the Vermecelli Noodle dish with pork, shrimp and egg rolls. Not too shabby really although more expensive than Saigon's and not as much flavor. You can just tell it's not as fresh. Not to mention the wait staff is horrible! Our waitress brought us our food and did not bother coming back, I had to get up myself to ask her for more water and get my own boxes to take the crappy food home to feed to the dogs. If you want good Pho please, do not come here. There are plenty of good Pho places in town, I would recommend Saigon as they are friendly, consistant and the...
Read moreIf you love Pho, you will love this place. If you don't love Pho, you'll still like it. They have wonderful authentic Vietnamese cuisine, but also offer some Americanized options for anyone who is not comfortable with chopsticks or fish sauce. And let's not forget the Boba smoothies for dessert!
EDIT- Feb 2022: It's still the best Pho place in town when My Tho isn't open... They still give plenty of basil/lime/sprouts/pepper to add to your pho, still have fish oil at the table, and still have delicious broth. One complaint: sometimes the broth is not hot enough. And that can be an issue, because several varieties of pho need the meat to be cooked in the broth. I didn't mind that my sirloin was slightly rare this time, but I've definitely had to microwave it before when I've gotten take-out from...
Read moreThe food is really good! But I feel the owner should check his employees. They turn people away if you get there at 7:40pm the waiter tells customers we “we close in 30 minutes” He even meet customers at the door to let them know they can’t come and eat. This is ridiculous if you want to make money and treat customers right!
One of the girls was very rude to this poor guy that came in asking for his to go order! She told him “it is what it is!” I was like wow this is not the way to treat customers! The guy looked at me and was very embarrassed. If I was the owner I’ll get rid of the waitress and waiters that don’t want or need a JOB! I understand people get tired and employees want to go home but they should be more patient. And I bet the owner will be banking if they stayed open until 9 or 10...
