I made the fateful decision to switch from the utilitarian pizza place me and my friends have settled on here in the Wildomar area to try Pie Nation - a place I have been seeing for years but never tried. We had a house full last night and as I was about to call this (poor excuse for a...) pizza place we always settle on because it's "here" I decided to try Pie Nation. I had very little hope for this place - nothing about the exterior in the strip mall where it's located made me feel like walking in before. When I went to pick up the pizzas I was greeted by the new owner who welcomed me with a warm smile as if we were already old friends. He was still hand making the pizzas we ordered when we got there. "I wanted to make sure your pizzas were as fresh out of the oven as could be when you came in" he told me. After we paid he personally brought the pizza boxes to me, and opened them in front of me. "How do they look?" he asked. "How do they look?" I thought to myself. They looked AMAZING! They smelled AMAZING! And they tasted so unique and AMAZING that I felt inclined to call the shop during dinner and tell them how much we were all LOVING their food! The crust is so unique - reminds me of being on a lake during summer break as a kid and ordering from the local favorite pizza place - its a classic taste - with a really unique take on the flavoring of the crust. The cheese, the sauce, the meat - everything was just fantastic! So excited that this place has the kind of owner who cares so much about...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. I walked in to this place as a first and last time customer. I ordered and there were no other customers ahead of me. I was asked to place my order at the register rather than the "start here" sign, so not a big deal I placed an order for 2 pizzas totally over $50. I was not asked my name, not given a reciept, nor instructed that my pizza would either be brought to me or I would have to come back and get it. 4 more larger parties order after myself, husband, and toddler, and as we wait, and wait, and wait. The other parties start getting their food, and a single pizza that we did not order is delivered to our table and we were told to enjoy. When I mentioned there should be another I was told it was on the way. We wait and wait again and everyone else on the restaurant gets their orders and then when our order finally comes out, it is wrong! I take it back up to the register, and end up getting a lecture that it was a simple mistake with getting my toppings wrong. I did not want to wait another 40+ minutes and ask for money back. Well I'm told that not possible and they had to call the owner who then is also not able to provide me a refund until the NEXT day when they come in. I'm asked for my phone number and then asked if I want the owners number in case they do not call me. Wow, NEVER going back here. 💯 Ridiculous....
Read moreTheir regular crust is vegan, red sauce doesn't include cheese (so, also vegan), and they offer Daiya mozzarella! My boyfriend and I LOVED their pizza, and their customer service is top-notch. I misread their menu initially, thinking they offered pine nuts. When I called and ordered with that topping they offered a substitute of candied walnuts and I said sure, but changed my mind a few minutes after. When I called back to see if they could edit the order, they had already put the pizza in (super fast!!) and offered to make a new pizza for me. I declined but said I appreciated the offer, and Clarissa told me that if I didn't like it I could call back and they'd give me a discount on the next order. When we went to pick up the pizza, we found out that they went ahead and remade the pizza anyway! So nice of them! And from order to pickup it was less than 30 minutes. Absolutely in love with this place, super friendly in general and a great choice for local vegans! ♡♡
Edit: Make sure you ask for olive oil instead of garlic butter...
