This review is based upon years of coming Pre-Covid, and one visit during COVID accommodations in December. Also, it is based on ordering only a handful of dishes that are my favorites, namely their Smoke Salmon Alfredo. One of the best things about this restaurant WAS their garlic bread. It was a delicious slice of garlic/herb heaven that was toasted just enough that it was still soft and fluffy when bitten, it would never make it the drive home because it smelled (and was) THAT delicious. Now, they have done something horrible to their garlic bread, it is on some leftover pizza dough and has a horrible combination of herbs and barely any garlic. I don't know if this was to save money or try something new and fun, but it really downgraded the garlic bread. This is something I would look forward to Almost more than my meal itself (I am Italian and have had my fair share!). My favorite dish (Smoked Salmon Alfredo) was ordered just as it sounds, nobody corrected us on the phone when ordering our takeout. When we got home, we basically had a dish of Alfredo with a filet of Salmon on top. Not smoked. Although the Salmon was flavorful, it was not what I ordered. And to my horror, my favorite dish is no longer listed on the menu. My fault for not researching a menu I trusted hadn't changed since my last visit? Yes, possibly, I am not above basic responsibility. Hubby ordered the Linguine Tutto Mare and liked it for the most part. However, nearly injured himself trying to pry some of the mussels open that the chef missed. Seems like this dish could be improved a little on the final delivery. When picking up our order (promptly done and on time btw) we noticed the restaurant itself seemed to be operating as usual with indoor dining. Overall we have always received good service here and enjoyed the atmosphere when able to dine in. Unfortunately, we will be not be returning since two of our favorite items either no longer exist, or have been tragically changed for the worst....
Read moreThe best Italian restaurant around hands down. That said, the service is inconsistent. The first time we ate here, our food came out quickly even though it was busy. The second time, it was empty, only three tables, and we ordered first, but we got our food last somehow. We think the bartender forgot to ring our food in or something. The Ravioli di Manzo is just amazing, but the penne dish with olive oil and sun dried tomatoes (forgot the name) was good the first time and just OK the second time. Pasta was overcooked. So overall some dishes seem to always be on point whereas others can vary depending on who's cooking. We will continue coming here because it's affordable and always a good time, just be prepared to wait a while for your food!
Drinks were slow as well despite us being the only table that ordered drinks. The bartender was having trouble with one of the beer taps and I really wanted to go over there and show her how to fix it because it took a full five minutes before she figured it out and so much beer was wasted. She made a good old fashioned but it tasted like there was hardly any bitters, so it could've been better.
They play kind of weird music; they have the Italian ambience but it would be so much nicer if they played Italian...
Read moreMy husband and I just moved to Wildomar and have been dining at different restaurants close to where we live. Most restaurants were really good but I must say that this is a gem of a place. Every dish my husband and I ordered were absolutely delicious. From the bruschetta, pear salad with gorgonsola to the chicken picatta, which was absolutely delicious to my husband's prawns with pasta with a heavenly creamy sauce and finally to our desserts that were so so good. I had a glass of pino noir and the music was so much to my liking and taste. Our server Liz was the best, very kind and helpful. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. The atmosphere is very casual while the food is 5 stars. I wish they wouldn't make it so cold inside though but overall we were so satisfied. Also, my husband complained about his prawns being overcooked and they gave him extra prawns that were so perfectly done, very tender and absolutely delicious. WE HAD AN ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL DINNER AND HAD TO HURRY HOME TO HAVE OUR DESSERTS. My husband and I are so looking forward to our next dinner date...
