Admittedly I'm not a craft beer fan but I do know customer service and pizza and both were deplorable at this place. First, I was with a larger party of 10 who called days in advance to make a reservation for a friend's birthday . When our group arrived they had lost the reservation and didn't save a table. The group was treated poorly as if we were an inconvenience and made to stand in a stairwell until the waitstaff could figure it out. When our table was finally ready an unfriendly waitress ushered is to the adjacent building and quickly quipped that our group would not be able to order from the full beer or food menus that were available in the other building. She further instructed that we could not order flights to sample beers until a member of our group pressed another waitress to help us get a flight to sample, which was the whole reason for going to the brewery.
Food came out in waves that created a spread of at least 20 minutes between the first person receiving their food and the last. Upon delivery of the last plate of food, the waitress (unprovoked and without a word from the customer) declared the customer didn't tell her she didn't want cheese and the sandwich had cheese on it. After some time the order was fixed but that person didn't get to eat until about 40 minutes after the first dish was served.
I ordered a Mediterranean Pizza which was quite expensive (around $14 for a small) and of all the pizzas I've eaten in my lifetime, this was among the nastiest I've ever had. The dough was undercooked and white. The "sauce" was simply tomato paste straight from a can, and some vegetables were just thrown on top. Take a look at the photo for reference, it was absolutely terrible. Bitter, soggy, and just generally awful.
The French dip on the other hand was quite good. Huge sandwich portion. Great flavors, cooked nicely, and it looked warm when delivered, just too bad the rest of the party's food didn't come out for a while after so it was cold by the time I ate (my choice).
Overall this is not a place I would recommend because the service was so bad and the pizza...
Read moreI picked this place for christmas party sight unseen and was majorly disappointed. We had 23 people there. Most of the people said the food was alright. But that's it. It's just alright. If you dine out frequently and go to better restaurants, You'd know there are much better choices. This place was average. The room in the back that's considered the brewery building is where they put us. It was cold and inhospitable. There's nothing but steel tables and chairs. It's very bleak. This is not a place I take someone I was trying to impress. This area is not cozy at all. The first small building we walked through was much cozier. But the seating was very limited. The girls knew we were having a party and we had to ask to put the tables together so people could at least talk. But now if you're coming for a beer, The beers are not for the faint of heart You have to want to try different things. The die hards were disappointed. But those who aspire to the unique were quite amused. There was a molasses based dark stout that was very carmelly and delicious. And a pale ale that was ginger and cranberry. the cranberry note was not obvious to smell or taste, but the ginger was. I would order either again. Dinner wise the steak panini was very good slightly above average. Howeverthe side of Brussel sprouts was hard, Very undercooked. The fish tacos left a lot to be desired. The crab ragoon nachos had just a little bit of topping on just the top chips... And someone should inform this restaurant that you always serve bread.Pudding HOT with its topping on it. NOT ICE COLD from the refrigerator. It was a total waste of money. When I come here again for the beer?Yes. Would I come here again for the food? No.You decide...
Read moreWe visited for lunch at noon on Saturday. We were asked if we had reservations (we didn't but were still seated right away). The restaurant is very cozy with multiple rooms/dining areas and they have pictures on the wall for sale that are from local artists or historic pictures of the area. I love history and supporting local so I really loved this. The menus are accessed from your phone. There is a QR code on the table that you point your camera at, "take a picture" and the menu appears. The menu is very small with a few appetizers, soups, salads, mac & cheese and paninis (this was for lunch so it may change for dinner). And the only alcohol on the menu was some craft beers and a seltzer. I enjoyed the Apple Pie brown ale I ordered. For food we went with the pretzel app w/ beer cheese, cheeseburger panini and Buffalo Mac and Cheese. It seemed to be taking longer than usual to get our pretzel app so I asked the server if it would be coming out before our food. It did--about 5 minutes before. And it would have been good if it didn't look and taste like it had been sitting under a warming lamp. The outside of it was like leather. The flavor, although pretty good, was ruined by the texture. We do highly recommend the beer cheese, that was similiar to a whipped cream cheese with a good flavor. My fiancé enjoyed the Buffalo mac & cheese but the cheeseburger panini was a miss for me, mostly just because of my preference. I prefer my veggies on a burger cold and fresh but because this was a panini, the lettuce was warm and wilted and the tomato mushy. It was ok, but not something I'd order again. Service was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend you check out the menu...
