The food is almost always good at Wawa. However this location needs to step it up with service. It’s been open for almost 6 months at this point and staff should be aware of how things run and be able to operate accordingly. I’m not usually one to write bad reviews because I understand that everyone has off days, but there have been repeat issues with the service. I place mobile orders for food and every time without fail the wait time is longer than estimated whether or not you do curbside. If you do curbside there’s a chance that your food won’t get brought out and you have to go in and ask for it, this has happened to me twice. The drink I ordered was also not there with the rest of my order and I had to wait even longer for them to actually complete the order during one of those instances. If you do in store pickup, good luck trying to get your order quickly. Employees seem to be more interested in talking to each other and goofing off than in preparing orders and getting them bagged and set in the pickup window. I completely understand chatting while you work or passing the time with coworkers when there isn’t something to do immediately, but when you have orders coming in that should be the focus until they’re completed. On one occasion, I watched as multiple employees looked at my completed order and then moved on to do something else. After a while of waiting and not wanting to say anything because I can understand a customer asking “Is my food ready?” can be annoying, I spoke up. I’m sorry but I’m literally watching you ignore the order and I wanna get home and eat my dinner. It truly is so disappointing that this is my closest Wawa and that it just does not compare to other Wawas I’ve been to in terms of service. I genuinely hope the issue is addressed for everyone’s sake, the employees...
Read moreIt’s very annoying to see negative reviews for somewhere based on how the public behaved during a grand opening event. I didn’t come here to see how annoyed you were that everyone else in Wilkes barre and beyond decided to do the exact same thing you did. If you can’t handle a crowd of people don’t go to a grand opening, if you don’t want to wait 2 hours for gas then don’t sit in a line of cars at a gas station for 2 hours when there are 19 other gas stations on the same road. Yes there was a wait for food but it was obvious that would be case before ordering, yes they were out of a lot of items but that is to be expected during an opening event. I watched an employee doing his best to empty overflowed trash cans while customers blatantly stood in his way, I even saw a few of them shoving their trash in as he was trying to empty the cans. Don’t blame wawa for the choices you made. The food was excellent, the staff was kind and patient and always apologetic for the wait, there is TONS of parking and they have cafe tables and seating inside (which no one was utilizing while they complained about waiting) and the store was clean. 10/10 would recommend over sheetz any day. Love you wawa so glad you are back...
Read moreI went the day of the grand opening and it took me half an hour to get gas because it was so backed up inside that people were parking at the pumps and going inside to order food. Went the next day or so and it wasn’t as busy but it looked like the place was looted. No hot foods for a quick grab and go like other Wawa’s have in stock. Trash everywhere. Nothing was stocked. There were no drinks in the coolers. It was a bunch of teenagers treating it like a hangout spot and blocking every single walk way. Poor guy behind the counter was yelling “Number 19!” For a solid 3 1/2 minutes. It was too chaotic and for what it’s worth I love Wawa. I always have. But I would sooner drive to the one in White Haven. I usually don’t order the food from the counter, I usually just grab stuff from the hot counter, grab a drink, and leave but due to the lack of order and efficiency, I couldn’t even do that. Turned around and left the store disappointed. Hopefully will have better luck when we stop in when school starts because the teenagers were just insane. Hopefully giving the store a chance to...
