Nancy's Revival — Restaurant in Wilkinsburg

The lady that served us had a very bad attitude, very racist she was rude & very disrespectful for no reason. It was my first time there & my last time as well. My friend suggested we go there this morning to eat breakfast, so since I had never been there I was willing to go. Upon entering the diner there were a few people there sitting down eating breakfast with plenty of DIRTY tables available to sit at but of course they needed to be cleaned☹️. Mind you it wasn’t very busy & I’m sure that they had more then enough time to clean atleast 2 or 3 tables before the guest arrived. The lady said to us once we entered the diner was “y’all can seat yourselves, but there’s no clean tables”, 😡that’s when the rudeness began.Then I was talking to my friend & suggested maybe you should sit at another booth so we could have more room, & the lady rudely butted in & made another comment about the booths all being the same size & that we could move and sit were ever we wanted, mind you at this point she was taking another customers order while saying this to us👿. This was the straw that broke the camel’s back…. Once she brought us our food it was NOTHING that we ordered! I have never experienced such terrible service in all my life, honestly if I could give zero stars to this establishment I would cause that’s just how bad it was, real s🤬🤬🤬🤬!!!! To make matters even worse once we left there without being satisfied we decided to go to Pepis to get some steak & cheese hoagies, when sharing w the worker what we had just been thru , once we mentioned Nancy’s, she had already knew since she heard similar from other customers that had been there & experience the same rudeness & bad...

First time here. I asked if the French toast had cinnamon I was told yes. I got my food and there was no cinnamon on my ftoast. I told the lady there wasn’t none she insisted there was even with me showing her. She then rudely suggested if I wanted my money back. I said can I just get done cinnamon to put on it. She rolled her eyes preceded to walk away shouting “omg”. Came back with a cup full of nutmeg. Then starting taking someone else’s order. While I was still waiting I needed syrup. There was none in my bag so my friend had to tell her for me cuz at this point the lady was just too rude.

Now the food was just ok. The homefries were baked potatoes chopped and mashed up and the red peppers were jar red peppers. Did taste too bad but wasn’t appealing. The eggs bacon and toast were acceptable. The French toast was literally quickly dipped on one side with egg and the other side was just toasted so it’s just toast with syrup no flavor. Highly disappointed with my experience. I would give it another try if the lady was completely rude today. But i will...

I had read such promising reviews on this place and was very excited to support a local brunch eatery and not a chain restaurant but my very was mostly underwhelming. And trust, I wanted it to be good. The first was okay..there wasn't alot of follow-up on on refreshing our hot tea and the food was lukewarm. When I do breakfast, hot is SO IMPORTANT TO ME. The food was good even though it was warm to cold. I ordered the corn beef hash and smoked turkey plate with scrambled eggs and an a la carte pancake. The table was sticky as was the condiments. I eat at Waffle House on a regular so I could've forgiven that if the food was banging and unfortunately, it wasn't. The table busser guy was very inattentive and was having a conversation on his phone while taking up the plates on an adjacent table but it made him very inaccessible for questions about the food. I'll be back because I'm thinking I just caught them on a slow day or short staffed or something. I visit pretty regularly with a kid at CMU. Until...
