While some aspects of the experience lived up to the anticipation, there were certain aspects that left a lot to be desired.
Let's start with the positives. The cucumber salad proved to be a delightful surprise, a refreshing and vibrant creation that awakened the taste buds. The crispness of the cucumbers combined with the dressing created a harmonious balance of flavors that was truly enjoyable. Likewise, the little piggy tater tots with pulled pork emerged as a star dish. The combination of the crispy tater tots and the flavorful pulled pork was a match made in heaven, providing a mouthwatering and memorable treat.
However, not all was rosy at Honey Butter's Kitchen. The inconsistency in the freshness of the food became evident, with some dishes falling short. Your experience with the roasted turkey exemplifies this concern, as the dry and bland taste detracted from what should have been a succulent delight. Similarly, your husband's verdict on the chicken fried steak being just "okay" raises questions about the kitchen's execution and attention to detail.
Adding to the dining experience disappointment was the handling of larger parties. It's unfortunate to hear that you and your family were separated due to the restaurant's seating policy. A dining outing is often a time for families and friends to come together, and being unable to share the experience with your loved ones can indeed be a bummer.
In the end, Honey Butter's Kitchen offers a mixed bag of culinary experiences. While there are bright spots like the cucumber salad and the little piggy tater tots, the inconsistency in food freshness and the lackluster execution of certain dishes cast a shadow on the overall visit. Additionally, the seating policy's impact on larger parties seems to detract from the notion of communal dining. Honey Butter's Kitchen might have potential, but there are areas that could use improvement to deliver a more consistently enjoyable...
Read moreJust had breakfast and the food was wonderful, unfortunately the service was terrible. First when being seated the hostess seemed annoyed. Second we were not introduced to our waitress so we did not know her name. Next when the food arrived it was incorrect, our over medium eggs were over easy. The Littlest things that could've been handled without complaint, but our waitress tried to argue with us and said that over medium eggs were supposed to be a little runny. Yes, we understand a little running but when you slice into an over medium egg it is not supposed to run completely out all over the plate and deflate. Next she was checking on all the tables around us, but never came to our table so our drinks were gone and never refilled not once. Then since we never were approached after she checked to see if the food was right. Then we used the last little bit of hot sauce and had to wave her over, visibly annoyed by our request she left and returned with the new condiment with the safety seal still on it. Now any waiter or waitress should know that if someone asks for a condiment and it is not open; then open it and then hand it to them. It was impossible and irritating that we had deal with this kinda service at such a popular, well loved place of establishment. I would like to know that management will address the issue immediately.
We are not completely aware of her name but the ticket stubb stated the name...
Read moreToo bad there isn't an option for 0 star ratings! I have NEVER been to an establishment with such disgusting service. Today March 28th a group of friends and I wanted to surprise my aunt for her birthday with lunch. We called AHEAD for our orders and seat placement 30 minutes prior being that my aunt was on her lunch break. We arrive and our waitress confirms the orders... My aunt was shocked to see we had a seating of 6 when there was only 4 of us... It was a surprise guest coming. Our waitress then says"This is why we don't do call ahead orders!" Again we ORDERED AHEAD. We sat waiting and waiting. Everyone recieved their food except one guest. All of a sudden the chef comes to our table to tell us our waitress has dropped our guest's chicken livers and needs to refire it. The waitress never came back to our table to apologise at all nor check on our drinks. The liver finally came out with the side of fries. We had to flag another server to grab the now stale fries! Our waitress eventually came back with our tab only to say out of her mouth "The next time do not call ahead. Please just come in and dine as normal. You can either call for a pick up or dine in." and walked off! Disgusting service. We eat here all the time! This will be the last time we visit this establishment. DON'T CALL AHEAD FOLKS! IT TICKS...
