Love this place.
Is it good value? Yes and no. Menu options are limited but tastier than the descriptions and well worth it. They have a plethora of packaged treats, goodies and frankly some pretty random stuff along with typical deli meats, produce, milk/eggs, pre-packaged ice creams, etc. Personally, there are some things I avoid because of the price and some things i wish i could avoid but simply cant because theyre that good (i cant resist their packaged gummies). Then some things truly surprise me. Example: Their small selection of fresh produce and store packaged seasoning containers (garlic powder, chili powder, etc) are cheaper than the SALE prices at any major super market.
Will you be taken care of (and treated well) by the staff? Yes. And yes.
Is the place simply awesome? sigh yes... just... its just easier to say yes.
Parking is limited and hours aren't the most convenient but they don't get a large amount of traffic despite the location, so it works. I'm not in walking distance anymore but I'll drive the 20 minutes when I can. Small cafe-like stores like this are hard to find, and when you do find them prices are usually jacked up because it is a niche demographic most of them cater to. This place caters to EVERYONE. Support it by enjoying it, at your...
Read moreSadly, I found Diamond Square to be wildly overrated. The people were nice and the store is clean, but the food is quite average. Everything is packaged and presented in a quaint manner, but the ingredients are actually low quality. I ordered a chicken panini only to find out it was sliced deli meat, not real chicken. All the "goodies" in the store are just well packaged, but mass produced offerings, with, again, low quality ingredients like food colorings and preservatives. The bagels they serve are just of the store-bought variety. They are not baked on site. I'm not sure anything is actually made there. Maybe some of the bread? But it's mostly from a package. When we asked what a particular sauce was like, the girl told us it was like Chick-fil-A sauce. And I'm afraid she was correct, it was just a mass-produced sauce from a bottle, nothing that was created in house. Too bad. Nice place,...
Read morePros Clean environment Decent selection of sandwiches Well priced Nice staff Homemade donuts from mammys not made in house but they are good Very good soft pretzel The Italian wrap was good
Cons The Reuben and Buffalo chicken dip sandwhich were just ok
The Reuben and Buffalo chicken dip sandwhich were OK nothing special. Like another post said most of the food is packaged food made elsewhere. The donuts are from mammy in rebersburg and are good. The soft pretzels I'm assuming are house made and are very good. There are a few other local made products you can pick up there. Otherwise you can get better sandwiches next door at miletos. But I would come back here because the Italian wrap was better here then miletos. Best soft pretzels and Also the best donuts in...
