Newberry Hotel — Restaurant in Williamsport

So we were out for a few drinks. We stopped at the newberry hotel. WHAT A MISTAKE!!!! While we were playing pool a woman came in and sat down to play the Pennsylvania skill game. This woman was talking to the woman who was bar tending. Now mind you it is 2pm on a Monday and there is only one other person in the bar besides us. The person I was with left the back room with a pool stick in hand to play the juke box and the woman playing the machine was extremely rude to him. She started yelling that he couldn’t have the pool stick in the bar area and that he needed to immediately return to the back room with it. Speaking as an owner of a business this was wrong. First of all Shewas a patron in the bar just like us regardless of wether she works there or not. If you are RAMP certified you should know that if you are NOT WORKING you are a patron just like the people who are there. And second if they don’t want people in the bar area with a pool stick there needs to be a sign that clearly states that and the person bar tending needs to address the situation before you (who is not tending bar) starts yelling at patrons giving yourself nd the bar a bad name as well as losing business. PR is an important part of business and trust me I will let everyone I know about...

went in with a friend last night and got some beer from the six pack shop. saw that there was karaoke going on and the person behind the counter said that we should stay and sing a song. once we got up and sang a song i went to the bar and ask if i can buy a glass of water. the bartender then proceeded to tell me that i had to leave or buy a soda for both me and my friend. so i ask well how much is a soda then. she then refused to tell me how much a soda was so i walked away. went and told my friend what happened and sat down. not even five minutes later the woman from behind the counter at the six pack shop came up to us and told us that we had to leave. mind you we didn't do anything wrong, where not being rowdy, had just purchased beer and all we did was sing a song because one of the employees suggested that we do so because nobody else was singing for karaoke..... worst bar i have ever been...

Came to have a couple of beers with my family and bar tender was extremely rude. My brother went to get us a drink at the bar and the bar tender told me I couldn't sit if I wasn't buying anything. Lol my brother was at the bar waiting for her to take our order. Then I said my brother is waiting to order beers from you. She got mad and said you need to leave with that attitude. At first I was in disbelief because I was just relaxing minding my own business. I will never go back to such a horrible establishment. So I call to talk to a manager and she told me that she has 25 years there and the bar tender is never rude. Lol she wasn't even there. Definitely going to let everyone know about...
