Hmmm where to start. I was a housekeeper for 12 years. So I’m a little ocd about cleanliness. I took me and my fiancée here for the first time and when we first walked in, there’s food and dirt all over the floor and the floor was slippery. The vent from the air conditioner on the ceiling leaked water on me so we had to push the table out from under it. When the waitress took our order, there’s no notepad to write anything down, I don’t like people who thinks they can remember someone’s order. I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger with fries, and she ordered a grilled cheese with tomato soup. When the food came out, my burger only had 1 patty and I’m pretty sure they charged me for 2. Menu stated 9.99 for a bacon cheeseburger and I was charged 12.49 for something I didn’t get. I had said something about a missing cheeseburger patty, but nothing was done. The fries were bland, tried the hamburger by itself, no flavor. I tried her tomato soup, had no flavor. Also, they must have ran out of tomato soup because I saw one of the workers carrying a bag of canned tomato soup from the dollar general next door. If you’re going to the store to get more ingredients, then you should have a back door away from customers so they don’t see it. The waitress only came out to give us our drinks, food, and check. Did not come back for anything else. She spilled a drink on the person sitting by us and on the floor (same drink) and never bothered to clean it. And claimed she was on like an autopilot mode. When we were done I went to the bathroom to wash my hand and face because I have a beard and eating things gets messy, there are no mirrors in the bathroom so I had to guess if my face was cleaned. At some point I found a small gray hair in my burger and quit eating it. We decided that we will never go back. The only thing good and that I like about the place is that the portions are pretty big...
Read moreAs an unofficial breakfast connoisseur, I was super excited to try a diner that was close to home. I had been discussing this diner with a coworker for weeks until I decided to finally give it a try today. The staff was perfectly friendly, and my food was mostly ready upon arrival. My issue was in fact the food. Breakfast is difficult to “mess up.” I found my pancake to be undercooked in the middle, a lack of seasoning to the food, as well as what I would consider to be slightly undercooked hashbrowns. Overall, lucky strike is a decent establishment if you are looking for something decently priced, but ultimately I will most likely continue ordering...
Read moreThis was a descent spot to get a quick bite for breakfast if you are stopping by Williamsport and want to grab something early. One of the earlier opening diners, they provide a lot of very traditional dishes, at a reasonable price, and service is pretty quick. Granted, it was only one other person at the bar seating, so not really a rush to handle.
I got a traditional breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage patty, potatoes (pretty serious helping and atypical of what I expect, but good nonetheless), with rye bread and coffee. I think, even with a tip, I spent a little less than $15 and it was...
