I love The Log at Ramunto’s—delicious pizza, one of the widest selections of beers on tap in the area, and tons of space to relax, meet up with friends, or bring the family. This place was such a huge and perfect addition to Spring Street—it’s got a great local vibe and fills a real need in town.
Trivia night on Thursdays during the school term is a must-do, but be warned: the place bursts with people, so reservations are highly recommended. It’s lively, fun, and a standout community spot.
That said, I do wish they had more consistent lunch hours and expanded overall availability. It would be fantastic to see them open more often, especially during the day.
One small note: takeout could be improved. The current pickup area is tucked in the back where the bar, the kitchen, high-top seating, and bathrooms are all located, which makes it crowded and confusing. It's easy to be ignored or overlooked when trying to pick up when they are busier-- which is most of the time. There's an unused counter at the front of the restaurant that would be a much better spot for pickups and could really streamline the experience.
Despite that, it remains one of my favorite spots in town—friendly staff, great food, and always...
Read moreUnfortunately, we had a terrible take out experience from Ramunto‘s tonight. After picking up our room-temperature order, I discovered I was given a completely wrong pizza after getting home. I had to drive all the way back – 20 minutes each way – to pick up the correct pizza. Unfortunately, they didn’t even get it right the second time… the pizza was nearly raw! I had to finish cooking it in the oven after coming home; I did not order a take and bake product. No offer of discount or reconciliation of any kind was made after the screwup and I never even received a receipt. Fail.
Update: maybe it's just me, but you might also consider removing the "Now open! Please come in!" sign off the sidewalk when you're actually closed. It was pretty sad and pathetic to find this place locked up on a busy Monday afternoon for lunch yet...
Read moreOkay so I really love the bartenders and beer selection, it's a great spot to work or unwind with friends. However the food is not my favorite (I'm meh on pizza). You won't be able to get a seat on Thursdays during the school year from 8-10, since that's trivia night and the place is overrun by students. If you are going to the Log on a Thursday during the school year (and not for trivia), you'll want to be out of there by 7:30. If you're going for trivia and have service animal, get there no later than 7:00 to stake out a place where your dog won't be stepped on. The tables are small and people crowd in, so you'll probably want one of the booths or tall tables in...
