This is a new Turkish restaurant in this area. There is another one close by that I eat at whenever I am in this area, but I decided to try this one out. Having halal options is priceless! I don't know if it's just Turkish culture the way the men bond, but in this restaurant (and the other one), it always feels like an exclusive Turkish all-boy's club. I never see any women or children, and it could very well be timing on my part (it's always early afternoon when I go). I've never felt discriminated against or anything, but it always has an eerie feeling of "What are you doing here?" when I go. I mean, I get it, they are foreigners in this country, and I imagine they just stick together. The first red flag was that no one greeted me, and I would find out later that only one of the four of them who were there was fluent in English. The second red flag was when I asked for a menu, and the guy who spoke English said they didn't have any. I've had experience in Turkish cuisine, so I knew what I wanted, but that was bad business. I overlooked it though, and made my order. I have to say that what they lacked in customer service, they made up for it in the quality of food. It was served hot and prompt. If anyone from the restaurant read this review, please understand: if you open up a food business in an area where the people are predominantly Black, you should give that some consideration. I know your people are going to find you and support you, but you are not in a Turkish town or country. It would be wise to have one of the local people as an employee, and this business will take off (as I hope it does). This would have gotten another star from me if the service matched the food.

Overall a very interesting Sunday lunch experience. They do not have a printed menu of any type, so I had to pick which kebabs I wanted from the glass case. Only cook spoke Turkish so I had to have another customer translate for me. Lots of tables were not cleaned and still had old food on them but I found a nice spot outside. I had to wait about 40mins for the food to come (pictured). The 2 chicken kebabs were pretty good and the delicious bread was on the house. After the food came the owner arrived and made sure I was satisfied. My platter cost $18 which was fair enough. I give it like a 3.5 stars out of 5. I'll round up to 4 stars to support a small business.

I came here on 08/17/24 and it was closed. Upon peeking through the window, all the tables were put away with chairs placed upside down on them, the kitchen side seems to be clear, with no equipment. The scene is similar in the smaller cafe/restaurant attached to the main restaurant as well. I really like eating the food from here and I hope it has not gone out of business. From platters to sandwiches - the Adana kabab, kofte, lahmacun - everything was well made. They gave plenty of bread and free çay with the meal. All the meats served are halal, confirmed by the kitchen lead. I’ll revisit on a different day and update this review.

We decided to do last minute take-out. My husband noticed EFENDY a few weeks ago and thought it would be a good place to try. As mentioned by others, there is no printed menu. We called to find out more information. The person on the phone was very pleasant and patient, helped us figure out what to order. The food was outstanding! When you get into the doldrums of fast food, pizzerias, etc., the freshness of the Turkish cuisine is welcoming. Every piece of meat was grilled with perfection., the rice tasty and plentiful. My favorite is the tomato and cuke salad. Our bread was soft and fresh; I had hoped for a more rustic type of bread, but this was tasty. Will definitely order from...
