I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place now! We stopped here because coming out of the motel in an area we knew nothing about, we didn't really know where to get breakfast. I am so glad we found this place! They were very nice about accommodating for food allergies and food modifications, like for example I ordered the blue cove smoothie which was delicious by the way! And I simply asked them to add strawberries in there and they did without an issue, and I also asked them to remove the cheese on my vegetable sandwich which they also did without issue. The sandwich was super yummy! The avocado was the perfect level of ripeness, the bread was toasted perfectly, and the flavors of the veggies and some other seasonings all just paired very well and made a very delicious veggie sandwich. The smoothies were made with real fruit and didn't have added sugar in them, which I really appreciate. And they tasted very yummy. Also ordered a ham and egg croissant, and the croissant was very buttery and flaky, wasn't stale at all and was also toasted very nicely. Also ordered a cream cheese bagel with salmon, and that was very nice because the smoked salmon wasn't TOO intense on the smoke flavor, but was also still a nice compliment to everything else. The dill and capers were a nice touch to the bagel as well and really added some yummy and interesting flavors. I totally recommend this place and there were still so many other menu items that sounded delicious that we didn't get to try! I hope we will be able to go again some time very soon because the interiors were very beautiful with the brick wall and plants and tables they have in there, gave it some sort of style, and also the food was all around very delicious....
Read moreOne of most favorite coffee shops! I don’t even live in this town! Never have! That being said, when ever I find myself driving on highway 101 and I get to drive into Willits, this is my very first stop. I actually look forward to it.
The people who work there, are kind and real and the atmosphere reflects that of the employees and the owners. Honestly, it reflects the community too and those that gather there. Good people.
It just has a very homey, welcoming feeling.
If you are lucky, there might be someone playing an acoustic set of live music. It’s always been incredible!
There is also always local art on the walls that is always stunning and magical.
Lastly, and importantly, the food and coffee drinks are amazing!!
I can honestly say, I have never had a bad latte I regretted buying from there and that’s saying a lot. (I worked in coffee for 10 years.) Not one time did I get a bad one.
The food….they even have delicious gluten free options! There are savory and sweet as well! More gluten free options than any other coffee shop I’ve come across. Even more than most stores offer sometimes! Tip! You just gotta get there early before they all get sold out. I’ve also never had a bad food item or pastry. Always top notch!
If you ever find yourself going either north or south past Willits, always stop if you can and support their business and the beautiful quaint town.
My only qualm is they close at 3 pm! Sad face.
So, make sure get...
Read moreI was traveling and thought I'd stop here to get a little bit of work done. I ordered an almond flavored latte and the veggie "scuffin" and I was genuinely blown away by the quality of both! The food seemed to be basically a pie with a scone base. Whatever it was, it was really tasty! The flavors were very well balanced, and it wasn't too rich. The only thing I would say is that it's a little oily, so eat with a fork if you can.
On to the coffee: it was easily one of the best ten lattes I've ever had (and that's saying something as a former barista). The espresso was barely bitter -- it just had that little bit that you want. The milk was steamed perfectly and left a good amount of really beautiful wet foam. I was honestly shocked to find something so great from a little hole-in-the-wall in the middle of nowhere.
The staff was also excellent; you can tell that it's a functional team of baristas who enjoy working with each other. The owner was also walking around and working in the back. I talked to him for a few minutes and he seems like a nice enough guy who's really proud of what he's done and the quality of his stuff.
Overall, I would give this place a 10/10, and would recommend stopping by if you're...
