☕️🥞Chagrin River Diner 📍 Willoughby, Ohio 🥓My family recently dined at the Chagrin River diner. We arrived just in time for brunch. 🥯There were lots of options for our entire family, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. ☕️ The diner had seating inside and out, and was very busy. The service was quick! 🥚The food was delicious. Nobody left hungry! Prices were reasonable and portions sizes were big! ✨The vibe was great. Highly recommend. The location, the layout, and the service are all top-notch. This is the kinda place where you go in rooting for it to hit all the notes. The multi-level setup works with booths lining the wall, tables on the main floor, and a bar with stools facing the kitchen where you can partially see the food being prepared. Plenty of options on the menu, but the breakfast potatoes fell a little short. Couldn't exactly tell what they were at first as they were chopped up tiny little pieces of exact size. Other reviweres have noticed as well and indicated they could be diced frozen French Fries. The ones we got didn't look like frozen fries but could've been much better and didn't belong in such a place. How about some roasted red potatoes? They're the best option and a customer pleaser every time. A great diner that falls short on the simplest, easiest-to-fix detail.

We went for breakfast and really loved the look of the place. Our service was friendly and efficient. The grapefruit juice was very nice. We both got the eggs benedict with the prime rib, which was tasty. Would have liked a touch of spice in the hollandaise sauce. What brought the meal down was that about half of my potatoes were essentially raw, my husband could not even finish them. I would definitely try this place again though because they had many menu options that sounds interesting. Will update when I go back. Edited to give a fourth star. The tacos were really good for breakfast. I would recommend the tacos over the eggs benedict. The tomatillo sauce was already very good

Ate here with my mom for lunch food was good tasting and atmosphere was good i ended up consumings small shards of glass in the seafood bisque and found a larger chunk of glass which i spit out and gave to the waiter she replaced me a new bowl of soup did not want to make a big deal about it later had severe stomach pain and bleeding after bowel movements all which happened during the covid 19 pandemic so did not want to go to hospital right away contacted the owner jim who seemed nice and said he would make it right and call me back when he did he referred me to his insurance company which was a nightmare and it went from small business to corporate america im sorry but if your injured because food you ate you think the owners would be thorough in making sure you were ok and things made right that was not the case i will not be back to eat and i do not recommend anyone to go there to eat either your rear end is literally at stake do do not worry jim turcotte ll pay for my own medical bills and the 45 dollar check we paid to bleed after bowel movements and retrieve glass from my stool along with stomach pain for a day and half is just part of chagrin river diner...

Very confused restaurant. When we got there we were really excited about the menu...it looked fun and tasty. We got the zucchini cakes which were great. However our food came out luke warm and we had to flag down a different waitress to get a condiment...no one checked to see if we needed anything....I got the patty melt with potato spuds....was luke warm so not the best... definitely had been sitting so bread was soggy but the burger meat was tasty. My husband got the monte Cristo....worst sandwich he has ever had...he has the biggest sweet tooth...but that berry sauce didn't belong...and his food was almost cold.....he ate it in parts....we are not complainers so we ate and left quickly. Service was sub par....no smiles or happy faces...actually the staff looked like they wanted to be anywhere but there. They also seemed like they didn't want us to be there ...I don't need anyone to kiss my feet but the vibe was definitely not friendly. I think this place has an awesome menu but I don't know if they have the skill to pull it off. I might try it again....everyone has a bad night here and there.....but not...

A local establishment that had garnered some positive reviews in the past. However, my experience left me with a rather sour taste in my mouth, and I can't say I'll be returning anytime soon. First and foremost, the staff's lack of friendliness was a significant letdown. From the moment I walked in, there was an air of indifference that made me feel unwelcome. It's disheartening to visit a local restaurant and not receive the warm hospitality that typically accompanies such establishments. I understand that restaurants can have busy periods, but basic courtesy and a friendly demeanor should be a constant. The food, unfortunately, did not redeem the restaurant either. I ordered a simple dish and even that seemed to be a challenge. The fries arrived at my table overly greasy, and the overall taste was far from the perfection I had hoped for. It's disheartening when something as basic can't be executed well. Overall, my experience at Chagrin river Diner left me with a negative impression. I had expected a pleasant meal at a local restaurant, but the unfriendly staff and subpar food quality left me feeling...
