Man, I eat here a lot. I've had a lot of bad experiences here. I continue to eat here because the competition is McDonald's and fast food. I'd say out of fifty pizzas I've had here that I've had five bad experiences.
While ordering on the phone a couple years ago, I wanted a medium, one-topping pizza. I was told it was one of the specials. When she told me the total, I was charged the full price. I was told It was my fault and should've mentioned the special. We argued on the phone and I told her to forget it. I never ordered the pizza.
Another time, they put the wrong toppings. I wanted green peppers and they put banana peppers. They offered to remake it while I wait and they let me keep the first pizza, so I ate both, minus the banana peppers that I picked off. I sat in my van while they remade the new pizza.
The third time, there was a weird, extra piece of ripped wax paper under the pizza that stuck to the bottom. It looked dirtier than the normal full piece wax paper that was underneath. Just a weird foreign object that doesn't belong there. It was like they put the pizza on wax paper, quickly removed it and put it on another wax paper, not realizing there was a piece of wax paper still stuck to the pizza.
I called to order the medium, one-topping special again. That's what I always get for myself. I split the topping half and half so that it stays one topping. Half green peppers, half black olive. It counts as one topping total. Then, I want to put both toppings all to one side, so only half the pizza has toppings. The other half is cheese. The guy on the phone this time told me that qualifies as two toppings. I said, "No, it doesn't."
I explained to him slower that it counts as one topping. If I give you three slices of pizza, and all of them have one different topping, I wouldn't charge you for three toppings. You should only be charged for three slices with one topping. He had to go get a manager and put me on hold. I hung up. I guess McDonald's it is.
Edit: I ordered my usual. I went to pick it up as usual. I tried to pay cash. All I have is a hundred dollar bill. There's no money on my card. Almost got my pizza, but they could not cash my bill. How about I go get sixteen hundred pennies and pay for it with that? Would that be easier for you? I left without the pizza. I'm making burgers at home...
Read moreI've been eating here for years and never had an issue. During the winter my son ordered from here and ended up getting very sick. I just assumed it was a flu bug and it was just a coincidence that he had eaten here that weekend. A couple weeks later I ate here and ended up getting sick as well. It's been about a month or so since and today I decided to give it a try. I got sick almost immediately after I finished eating. I'll just assume that they're doing something differently because I've always ordered the same thing for the last several years. One thing I did notice is that the pizzas have been a lot more greasy. Or maybe it's the countless number of employees in such a cramped space walking and breathing on our food and also not wearing gloves, whether required or not. Especially seeing drivers coming and going walking right past food being prepared. Regardless, my days eating at this establishment are over.
Edit Before I left my review I scanned through other reviews to see if anyone else has had a similar experience. Seems there are various other issues with this particular location. And all met with the same condescending replies from ownership/management. Also, I was unaware that this establishment specializes in health-care, judging by the expert medical diagnosis I was given. Which is a good thing thing because you may want to consider adding a colonoscopy to every order. But I did go ahead and remove the name of the other local pizza establishment that I also frequent so that it doesn't diminish the validity of my claim. But it also doesn't take away the fact that I have never gotten sick from their food. And I can assure you that if I were trying to promote their business I wouldn't stop with a Google review. So I'll end with this, when a restaurant cares more about arguing online with its customers rather than acknowledge an issue do you really want to take a chance with your health by...
Read moreMy family and I have been ordering pizza from this store for a while now but lately the pizza has been very salty and greasy. It's not the same, not even close. I thought to find a better pizza place then this, especially after today. I checked the specials before ordering my food. The specials they have when you call to check does not line up with whatever the workers tell you in the Willowick store. I spoke with Patrick first and then Leah. Leah said that the specials that I heard over the phone was not correct but yet she would not honor what the specials on the line stated.. Inthink that this is unprofessional and unfair to a paying customer that the order was not honored because of their mistakes.. Leah said that she was the office manager but did not act like one in a professional manor. She started talking really fast as if she was rushing me off of the phone. I asked her for HR number to speak with them concerning this matter and was told by her that I'd have to call the same number that I called, apparently it's the store number. I'm very dissatisfied on not only the poor customer service I was shown but also in the food. This just means it's time to move on to better food and...
