I had a very negative experience here. The front desk receptionist was rude, condescending and showed no compassion for the patients walking in the door. Not just with me, but with others also. I believe her name was Cameron . Her customer service is more appropriate for maybe a fast food job . The nurse who took me back and got my information/vitals was extremely nice and had a pleasant attitude. Hence the one star I gave. When the physician assistant came in, she was upset I was there for two medical issues instead of one, she displayed her irritation to me ( the patient) that the nurses didn’t know that “ rule” , apparently I’m only allowed to get treated for one issue at a time and I’m supposed to leave and come back in for the second issue so they can charge me twice ? The physician ended up treating me for both but was not happy about it and when she walked out of the room she chastised her nurses in the hallway discussing why I was there and my medical conditions. I felt bad for the nurse and felt like I had to apologize for “ getting her in trouble “ when I was there just trying to get treated. The nurse was the only professional employee that I was exposed to. They need to do better in the way they treat patients who are in fact paying for their treatment....
Read moreThis review is actually long over due. I was seen in the urgent care clinic in December of last year. At that time the manager whose name was Pat (I believe her last name was Peace or Please) was there belittling a coworker. She was loud and talking about another patients information in the open all the while berating her coworker for something that she had not done related to that patient. It was very disheartening to see someone in leadership speak to the staff that way. It was also very discouraging as a patient to hear her discuss another patients clinical information in front of a stranger. I thought there was something called HIPPA in place for instances like this. Needless to say I was there for an appointment a few days ago and who did I run into?... Pat, which is why I'm writing my review online. I took out the time to write a full two page review while in the office that day following my appointment. Obviously my complaint of that visit fell on deaf ears. It's truly unfortunate and says lot about upper management that this lady is at the forefront of your Urgent care facility. She was just as nasty that day as she was in December...
Read moreI went in to the Urgent Care on Wednesday night after injuring my foot. The doctor was incredibly dismissive and decided pretty much right away that it was a sprain in my ankle with almost no exam. X-Rays were taken, but they were taken of my ankle, not my foot even though I was very clear that the pain and injury were to my foot. The doctor wrapped it with an ace bandage and gave me a surgical shoe and told me to call a pediatrist in a few weeks if it didn’t start to feel better.
My husband and I both felt that something was wrong and the care provided was both neglectful and inadequate. I made an appointment with a pediatrist whom I saw today who said that the injury is a tear to my planter facsia and not a sprain and I was told to wear a full boot, not the surgical shoe. Additional x-rays were also taken because the ones from urgent care were of the wrong location.
I seriously question the care this facility is providing, had I not trusted my instincts and gotten a second opinion I could have caused major damage to my foot requiring surgery to fix. Lake Hospitals should be ashamed of the care this place...
