Very disappointed on my experience I had today we come here every Sunday and have noticed a decline in quality on the food for a while but the experience we had today definitely has made us find a place to take our business elsewhere. We arrived today at 12:40 pm and were unaware that this location closed at 1pm. They did have a small sign on the door but we miss it. As we were ordering I could tell the cashier was a bit upset. They kept rolling their eye at us. We started ordering when a call came in and the other cashier Ashley rudely let the person on the phone know they were going to close at 1 and could order if they would be there before 1 to pick up. I told my husband we should probably take it to go since they were closing soon. While ordering Not once did the cashier register let us know or say the food would be Togo or that they would be closing soon. As we waited for our food the family who had ordered before us received there food from one of the cook and almost walked away but came back to let them know “we are close” as they started to eat and told them they could eat inside as long as they made it fast. What a very rude way of handling things and told top it off. You could hear a female cook on the phone with someone complaining. That cook came back out as she cooking out food kept asking Ashley if she had told us they were close and why she let us order. The family also got upset about the way they were talked too and all could have been avoided if they had people who knew how to work in the food service. And as we’re ordering let us know not assume we read the note on the door that they were closing at 1. I would be ok to saw no problem I’ll take it Togo. Once we got our food we were missing our beagles with our fiesta omelette and it looked like she just scrambled everything and throw it in a box. Instead of being on the phone complaining remember your in the service industry you have a job because of the costumers that come everyday and bring business into the place your employed and if that stops the business would lose money and may no longer have a job. I may not have much effect in taking my business else where but for the owner if you have employees like this represent you it says a lot about you as well and how better not to come to an establishment were it’s ok to treat...
Read moreOK bagel poor Service New to the Wilmington area and received a coupon for Beach bagels and excited to give it a try. Tried to order online but you can only order sandwiches online. cannot order bulk bagels and we wanted both. so opted to visit the Oleander Drive location. Understand it’s a weekend day but order pick up process is very disorganized. Sign to the right of the registers saying “online and call in order pick up here” yet blondie behind the counter getting very indignant when people try and pick up from there and rudely announcing call ahead orders pick to the left of the register. Additionally there are two registers but one appears to be dedicated to taking call in orders. When not on the phone, call in register is not taking orders from patrons in the store and is idle. Several times during the wait in line staff announced that it is a 30 minute wait from order to pick up it you are ordering a bagel sandwich. Come on. 30 minutes? I see four people in the cooking area. How hard is it to toast and assemble some combination of bagel egg meat and cheese? Hearing the 30 minute wait I opted for a dozen bagels and some spreads to go and exited the chaos as quickly as possible. Bagels are just average. Not worth the wait. Didn’t get to try the bagel sandwich I saw on the online menu cause I can’t order sandwiches and bulk bagels online. Management needs to update online ordering to add bulk bagels to the list; update the signage in the restaurant to direct patrons to the correct areas and some how streamlined the cooking/assembly process so you don’t have to wait 30 minutes from a simple bagel sandwich. Many other bagel options in the area with faster...
Read moreI really want to preface by saying we love Beach Bagels and probably go at least once a week, but oh my goodness I wish we didn’t today. We pull up and it’s pretty vacant in the parking lot and a few people in the store- so we think it’ll be quick. It took like 5 minutes for the woman behind the register to even look at us or take our order. We order 2 bagels- one meat egg and cheese and another with cream cheese- simple enough but we waited for 30 minutes for our food. While waiting, we watched as the line grew out the door and the same girl who had taken our order was outside watering flowers instead of taking the order of the people who have been waiting 5+ minutes at the front of the line. We finally hear our name called and then proceed to watch as someone steals our order and my boyfriend stands waiting to ask anyone working if that was ours while I go outside and luckily grab our food before we may have to wait 30+ more minutes. Like I said, we love Beach Bagels but this experience will probably cause us to take a haitus or try the WB...
