Bruster's Real Ice Cream — Restaurant in Wilmington

We stopped in 20 min before closing there was still people ordering outside so we went through the drive thru. The blonde girl with the washed out blue color in her hair RUDE AS ANYTHING! She took my order and was rushing me but she already seemed irritated from the start. When we pulled up she gave my husband the ugliest look and she asked if we wanted a receipt my husband said no and she didn’t hear him so she asked again in the nastiest way “do you need a receipt and once again that nasty look at this point I was irritated with her rude and nasty service so I replied back with “I said no” she shuts the window walks off saying stuff and the whole crew stares over to our car. It’s obvious she said something she sends a young man to give us our first cone and the rest is being done he comes back gives us another cone then she comes around and here she goes again she gives us the banana split but so rudely and that nasty look. The young man is making our last cone and it looks like he accidentally breaks the cone and that girl gives him another cone but she says something again because the whole crew stare’s over at our vehicle. We drove off and my husband took one bite of his cone and it was stale and cone tasted old he then said “ they probably put something in it since they were all looking over when she was saying something” We didn’t eat our cones we threw them away! Since I've lived in Wilmington.. September makes 1year... I've been to brusters maybe 3x and I love it ! Nothing like homemade ice cream. This past experience unfortunately wasn't the greatest but wasn't terrible either. The line was long on the 90° weather day, which is self explanatory. I order 2 blasts. One with cookie dough and reese's and the other with crunch and snickers. The first blast came out with reese's and snickers.. we accepted it and was ok with what we got. The second blast which was mine, was repeated to me as if it was correct and it wasn't. I got cookie dough and snickers. I understand places get busy and people get flustered but I have also worked in the business and know that it should be very important and critical to make sure orders go out right. I ate the ice cream bc why waste it. But wasn't as satisfied as I could have been and I was really looking forward to some good ice cream. Drove 10 mins and I could have drove 2 min to sonic and probably would have been alot more satisfied. I know things happen but if u have 2 people checking if it was done right and they both get it wrong, it's a little frustrating especially when spending $$ !!

Placed an order for an Oreo Cheesecake waffle Cone through the drive thru. No problems....paid for it...was shortly after handed a waffle cone with an ice that didn't appear to have any oreo in it. Asked the worker if this was oreo Cheesecake flavor and was nicely told that they didn't have that flavor, so WITHOUT asking she substituted cookie dough 😕. The flavor I asked for was on the menu and I understand that flavors sell out. But why didnt she just say it was sold out so I could choose another ice cream of my choice instead of just handing me a totally different flavor and thinking I wouldn't mind. She only admitted it was cookie dough because I asked her. Cookie dough and oreo Cheesecake are not the same. She was nice and apologized and offered me a different flavor of my choice... finally. I choose plain oreo and she let me keep the cookie dough for free. Nice workers but I just found it odd that they wouldn't admit to being sold out of a flavor and silently give you what ever without a heads up. The ice cream saw just so so. The waffle cone itself was good. I won't be returning...
