This place is a VIBE. It’s a vibe that Wilmington wants and needs. The pictures you see don’t do the decor justice. As soon as you walk in, you’re taken to a place unlike any other that Wilmington has to provide….including the clubs. “Enchanted” is the only word my husband and I could come up with to describe the atmosphere. Every corner of the restaurant is unique. Margaritas and birria tacos are my love language, and both of which met and exceeded my hopes and expectations. The atmosphere is so cool that I thought, surely, the food has got to be lacking. It didn’t. How do you make something as simple as rice so good???
We love to sit at the bar to eat when it’s just the two of us. With that said, the only reason I gave 4/5 stars was because of the bar service, but, hear me out…it wasn’t due to their lack of trying. In the 2 short weeks Casa Encanto has been open, it is obvious the word is out. Those who were waiting for their experience came to the bar for drinks, and service bar was overflowing. So much so that I feel our service was lacking due to the bartenders having to keep up on service bar alone. At no point were we waiting due to laziness or inattentiveness. Everyone behind the bar was grinding. This is a kink I’m sure will iron out in due time. I would have loved to take home my leftovers, but due to a time constraint (we had to pick up our 5 year old) we just didn’t have time to wait for another opportunity to ask for a box. Some people would be annoyed by this, however, we saw how hard everyone was working and it didn’t leave a sour taste in our mouth in any way. As reasonable people, we understand that there will be growing pains throughout any opening.
Nonetheless, we look forward to our next visit and I can’t wait to bring all of my friends here!
Job well done,...

Read moreI ended up at Casa Encanto Saturday after googling for restaurants with my friends on our last night in Wilmington.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was set from (artificial) flora on the walls and ceilings and music playing. We, a group of 6, were greeted warmly and sat promptly though it seemed to be bustling with customers. Sitting in a rounded booth by the bar, we all fit well and were comfortable throughout the meal.
The jellyfish dancing across the giant television in the ceiling above the bar that was surrounded by more (artificial) flora and fairy lights throughout the restaurant truly painted a magical atmosphere.
The music only added to the entrancing atmosphere, lending low-key vibes of a high-key dance environment.
Beautifully-crafted drinks with a heightened artistic hand tasted incredible. There were drinks that came in Frida Khalo mugs, were adorned with fruit and flowers, and even some flambéed at the table!
The food was the BEST food I've ever had from any Mexican restaurant. Seasoned to perfection. A hearty helping, I could not WAIT to have my leftovers at a later time.
The staff were outstandingly attentive, with one main person assigned to us and several others checking with us throughout to ensure our experience was top-tier. The manager was extremely welcoming and checked on our experience several times throughout the visit.
12/10 experience here at Casa Encanto. It truly...
