China King Restaurant — Restaurant in Wilmington

I have eaten at China King for over 25 years! Hands down, this is the best Chinese food Wilmington NC has to offer! The owners are the best! They treat you like family. I can go months sometimes without eating here & whenever I call in an order they know exactly who I am. They remember everything I order & they remember exactly how I want it all cooked. For having a family of 5 & all but one being very picky eaters & we order our food special they remember exactly what we like & don't like. For example I order my General TSO combination plate with white meat instead of dark & I get shrimp fried rice instead of the pork fried rice that comes with it & I don't like white onions in my rice only green & instead of a pork eggroll I change it to a shrimp eggroll. As soon as they hear my voice & I say "1 General TSO" they know everything else! I was just now at this restaurant yesterday afternoon and it was lovely. Last year I found out about this restaurant after more than 15 years eating Chinese food at times in different certain areas, this one really is a bit good. They had the chicken and cashew nuts and food came out to be hot which is what we liked best and the portion they give you is good. My dad's plate was good too, however we kinda experienced some misunderstanding when we were there which I don't know why because once you order from the lunch menu special they're supposed to give you an egg roll included but one of the owners said no at that instance. I've tried the various Chinese takeout restaurants all across the Wilmington/Leland area and China King is by far the one I always end up returning to. It is a large menu with just about any and every Chinese dish you could think of. And the service is simply amazing, I've never waited longer than about 10 minutes from ordering to getting my food. All around delicious food and a great little takeout spot.
