Comegy's Pub — Restaurant in Wilmington

A beautiful neighborhood dive bar that makes the list for some of the best dive bars in the country, Comegys is a great place to grab a beer. The clientele are genuine locals from the area, all of whom seem to know one another. But the main attraction has to be Candice, the bartender who keeps the drinks filled and the conversation flowing. While there is no food available here, you can get snacks like free popcorn or beef jerky prepared locally by one of the patrons (it's quite good). We had the opportunity to meet Fred Comegys and talk to him for a while about his career as a bar owner and photo journalist. The walls are filled with photographs of his work, so make sure to take a look around this tastefully decorated pub with an artistic sensibility. Oh! And there's a shuffleboard table...

A truly fantastic little get away. The service is phenomenal and when you enter you feel like family. A down to earth and local feel. Makes the bar a fun like get away. Candice makes a delicious drink and keeps the atmosphere fun and laid back and enjoyable. You'll see Rallo keeping the bar stocked and clean and just a real nice dude all around. Bingo on Tuesday nites starting at 7 is a blast. I won $300 and only of five bucks fer the card. The hosts are lovely n patient. Candace the bar wench kills it!! The crowd is a family type environment, with lots of conversations with ur neighbor. 'Nough said, Just go check it out.
