On several evenings in the past few months, I've waited in the drive thru of Taco Bell, gazing at the interior of 3 Stars Pizza across the street, and pondered what kind of establishment it was like to be called 3 Stars Pizza. Last night, I finally took the opportunity to visit. Upon entry, I noticed the place was busy with the Friday night rush. To my left was the order counter, where staff chattered on phones taking orders, shouted to the cooks, and slapped double digit order labeIs on pizza boxes and bags. To my right was a minimalist seating arrangement and a small TV. I was greeted brusquely but politely by a woman behind the counter, who called me sweetie. She must have been unaware of my reputation as a reviewer, but I prefer it that way; I like when the staff treat me like an ordinary person. My order included a large 3 Stars Special pizza under the "Gourmet Pizza" section of their menu. For its modest price, the 3 Stars Special pizza was beyond modest. With quality ingredients, thin-but-not-too-thin crust, and the perfect balance of cheese, sauce, bread and toppings, the 3 Stars Special easily became the highlight of my Friday night. Unlike most titular pizza pies I've experienced, the 3 Stars Special included salami among the myriad toppings, which I thought to be loyal to the character of Little Italy, and a nice touch. Overall, my expectations of 3 Stars Pizza were greatly exceeded. As much as I wanted to give this establishment 3 stars for its name and be done with it, I must give it the 5 stars it deserves. My wonderful wife is on a cruise with her sister and while they are away, I was going to order at least three or more meals from Three Stars Pizza. Well, I am allergic to cheese. (I know it's weird, but what can I say) In any event the very first thing I say when making an order is "NO Cheese!" Well I placed an order for an extra large Pizza, no cheese, but with Pepperoni, Ground Beef, Onions and Green Peppers. I figured it would be good for me for dinner and at least two Lunches. Well, the delivery driver did a great job and I gave him a 20% + tip on a $29.04 Pizza. I took the pizza upstairs and opened it up and it was just covered with cheese. (I don't want to get hives ever again) I called 3 Stars and informed them of the mistake. Well, I was told that it was my fault. I then said that I could not eat it, and that I would just have to put it in the trash. I got the impression that the young lady I had talked to thought that I was lying and that I was just scamming them. I then filled out a comment on their website, and decided that I would write a note and drop it and the Pizza off at the restaurant with an explanation of what had happed. Well, they open at 11:00 am and I dropped off the Pizza with the note that included contact information and asked that it be given to the owner or the manager and I left, hoping to get a call or at least an emal. Read moreAbsolutely horrible service! Reading other reviews, wrong orders and it's the customers fault... I don't think so! I ordered online for an advertised special and added an appetizer for price X. What was delivered was minus the pizza for the same price. What ever the mix up, I refused the order and kindly sent it back with the delivery driver.. I immediately called the store and the manager rudely interrupted me while I was speaking and told me to pay attention when I was ordering. I was not even done explaining the situation! I did not accept "her" interruption, and resumed explained to her that regardless of the mix up, I now wanted a refund. This was based solely on "her" nasty attitude and dismissive approach, telling me that I need to learn how to place orders! She told me that they won't delivery again and was banning my address! This was a very easy fix, but instead she was childish and unprofessional by all standards. I was calm, no fowl language, or return her attitude, giving her NO reason to justify her attitude and berating me on the phone! Learn customer service, it was not a big deal until you made it that way. I am repeat customer of several years, with no complaints until today. Poor management.
