Parking was easy for us, we got a spot in front of the place on the street. I could see it being a little tough if it's busy. I think they have a small lot in the back too.

This place looks small from the outside, it's not small at all. Had to be at least 30 tables throughout the place. The decor was aesthetically pleasing. They have a bar, but it might be more for service since I didn't see any stools there. Service was excellent! Anything we needed, we got in a reasonable amount of time. When we got food to go, it was packed up with love.

I ordered the house marg and Alex stuck to shots of 1800. The marg rivaled the best. Fresh squeezed limes & was 0% tart. I could sip on those all day long. The 1800 was $8.75 and I had a Julio Repo at $8.50, which is very reasonable.

I ordered Torta milenesa chicken. Wow!!! This was like a gift from the Gods. The chicken breading was seasoned perfectly and was tender, yet crispy. This was definitely a top tier torta for me. Just look at the picture, this thing was perfect. All of the flavors came together flawlessly, and it wasn't sloppy one bit.

I ordered 1 chicken flauta. It was fried unblemished, you could eat the ends, which some folks over fry. This is how you do it folks, the chicken was moist and delicious. Top tier flauta skills here.

I ordered 1 chicken tamale. Again the chicken was tender and tasty. The green sauce complimented it very well adding some salt to the sweet of the masa. Another top tier item here.

I ordered tacos choosing chorizo, canitas, and pastor. Chorizo...great char, flavorfull taste, not dry, I loved it. Carnitas...seasoned well, on the edge of being dry, but not. Pastor...onion heavy could have used the pineapple in this case. Better than average, but closer to the middle of the road. The tortillas were...

Visited for the first time tonight and have to say I was blown away by the place. the staff was friendly and accommodating. The place was extremely clean and well maintained. and the food?? Wow! Fresh ingredients prepared very well. among the dishes sampled were spicy shrimp over lettuce, 3 different tacos (chorizo, beef and chicken) and the Chile verde burrito. the spicy shrimp were.bite size, fresh and perfectly cooked, perfectly spiced for us though maybe a tiny bit over spiced for novices. each of the 3 tacos had slightly different toppings (among the toppings were guacamole, onion, lettuce and tomato) and each one was delicious (the chorizo was my personal favorite. The burrito seemed to be stuffed with a little bit of everything including pork, chicken, rice, beans (and who knows what else) and was huge and delicious. our waitress asked if wanted hot sauce. we did. instead of the standard bottle arriving at our table we got two small bowls of homemade hot sauce, one red and one green. both were delicious (again, these not overly hot for us but novices should taste before pouring over their food). Almost immediately after being seated we were given a basket of warm tortilla chips and homemade salsa, a perfect foil for the ice cold Pacifico beers we ordered. when all was said and done the tab was barely over $30.. a great value considering the quality and quantity of...

Delaware people forget the wait at Border Cafe!!! This place beats it by far! The chips and salsa our server Wanda brought us to start were great, salty, and the salsa was homemade! Sooooo good! I had the chicken enchiladas with green sauce and my fiancé had the chicken fajitas. She also brought us red and green salsa for our dishes, but beware - the green is spicy! Also, when I told my fiance we were going to get authentic Mexican food, he said it's probably not better than the spot I go to in Newark, DE but low and behold Jalapeno Grill won him over! The food is amazing, authentic, and well priced. Just off Lancaster Pike across from AutoZone. Only challenge is parking since there's not a parking lot, it's all street parking. PS- don't let the neighborhood fool you! Once you walk in you'll be taken into another world! I still can't believe Wilmington residents haven't found this place yet and it's not packed every single night! We will be going more...

The food is very fresh and delicious! The staff is great and service isn’t too long. In the pictures, we got the Bistec Rachero (beef with jalapeños, rice/beans), the Cubano torta (Cuban sandwich), fried chimichangas with fries, jalapeño poppers, carne asada fries, and queso. Everything was very good so I recommend everything. Their salsa is also very unique and tasty - it’s got a spicy Chipotle taste to it. When you get to the restaurant, it looks like there’s nowhere to sit but there is a lot of seating in the back. They have tables for 8.

Hands down the best Mexican food I have ever had. We shared the molcajete for two....it could have fed a family of six I'm sure. So much flavor and lots of meat! If Leonardo davinci was a chef, this would have been his Mona Lisa. The only downside was the $7 guacamole. It was fairly watery and had little flavor, I just wouldn't get it next time. The salsa that comes with the chips is smokey and delicious and a fantastic addition to the molcajete. We will definitely be back!
