Gorgeous sanctuary designed in the style of a church one might find in Verona, Italy, with many beautiful pieces of art consisting of sculptures, paintings and mosaics. The church has many mini shrines within for devotions and a fantastic choir that literally sounds as if the angels were singing from the heavens above. A gift shop with beautiful religious items is also available just inside the church entrance. The Oblates in Residence are all very passionate priests and have wonderful stories within their homilies. Beautiful house of worship and peace.

One could spend entire days in the grand city of Wilmington, DE, searching out all of the incredible churches and places of worship. This was one such place that we happened across in our travels there. Amazing. The detail work in the pediments and alcoves is simply breathtaking. And that central window is like an eye into the soul of the church. It was a grey, overcast day, but it served to highlight the deep colors and the intricacies of this beautiful church's facade. Any days can be lovely. Even hrey, overcast ones.

The eve of Christmas and looking, and traveling on a Christmas eve alone in an apartment in western North Dakota. I admire beautiful buildings, and house of faith, I have always loved, plus I like stone or brick, and looked, at the beauty inside, and listened to the video, it touch me, I haven't spent many Christmases alone, but if we are insync, to the best we can, one is never alone, because of (my) our faith and all the gifts that are so close to our hand.
