This was my first visit to Ristorante Attilio. I had been passing through and had heard about this place through a friend. I decided to sit at the bar. The bartender, Mike, was extremely helpful upon learning they this was my first visit. He gave me a brief history of the place and told me a few generalities of the menu. Because I wasn't terribly hungry though, I decided on just a bowl of their Italian wedding soup. It was the perfect serving temperature and tasted amazing! I didn't want to leave without be able to take a sample of one of their homemade pasta dishes. So, I ordered gnocchi and meatball to-go. A server, Ryan, with whom I had started a conversation with earlier almost instantly recognized that a gnocchi dish would not last, nor reheat well, after my 2-hour trek home. My son and I decided to try a new restaurant that we have never been to first off the area it’s terrifying and and the food is definitely a reflection of the neighborhood. Whenever I go to a new place, I always order the basics. In this case I ordered the lasagna. Lasagna came out the lasagna noodles were way over cooked. The mozzarella was not melted. It was also cold upon delivery. They called it the specialty of the and that it’s an old family recipe. One thing is clear if that family ate like that well, leave it at that.
