Food was the best I've ever experienced at any ruby tuesdays.. including the one in (lewisville-clemmons NC) which was the very first job I ever had. Food didn't take long, was hot and delicious, my titos and tonic was poured generously, even moreso on the second one! No complaints there at all. Salad bar was loaded with many fresh options and a variety of delicious dressings.. unfortunately all of it was VERY DIFFICULT to access due to the glass above it, very close to and extending out beyond the Food, AND slanted downward. I'm 6'5, I had to bend down and press my face almost against the glass to reach anything, could barely reach items halfway back.. anything beyond that in the very back.. I gave up on. I could have stuck my head under the glass and with the ENTIRE length of my ABNORMALLY LONG arm, POSSIBLY been only slightly uncomfortable and able to get to the stuff in the back.. definitely considered it bc the dressing I wanted was in the back.. but there wasn't enough space for me to do so... sad, because I thoroughly enjoyed the quality, variety & fresness offered and would have made another trip or two if it wasn't all but damn near impossible for me to access. an oversight, or just a design flaw. Please consider raising the glass higher and or having it accessible from both sides..
On a completely random coincidence- the waitress we had quit halfway through her shift, once we were finished and had paid. Apparently due to management talking down to her and treating her unprofessionally after shed messed up another order. Not sure what really happened ornhow much of that is true or not. I Only know this because the next morning at waffle house, she was my waitress...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI took my dad to this Ruby Tuesdays because we'd never been there before. It took a while for the woman at the lectern to seat us and the waiter took his sweet time getting to us. My dad left to use the restroom and that's when he came to get our order. Luckily, I knew what my dad and I wanted. Again, we had never been there before so we didn't know we could just get up to get our salads. (Salad bar is nice btw, legit the only reason I would consider going back.) While we were pointlessly waiting, I overheard our waiter telling the tables next to us about what specials they had, being jolly and friendly with them. He kept his words short with us and only told me about their daily special when I ordered it by chance (Cheeseburger). Then he forgot to deliver our drinks and we had to call him to remind him.
Food takes forever to get to us, approximately 20-25 minutes for a smash burger and a stir fry of some sort. The portions were half the size of the menu and my burger was crunchy and burnt. I ate what I could of it and it was nothing special. Luckily I had only paid $8.99 instead of $14 else I would have been pissed. The waiter didn't fill our water until we asked (20 minutes into us having food, 30 minutes since we got them late).
I don't know why we weren't treated with the same respect as the people around us. I know it's cliche to pull the black card, but other than that, nothing was different about us. There's just a blatant disregard in the kitchen when both my parents ordered the same steak and they were different cuts and sizes and they were infact cooked about what was asked medium rare but one was more rare one was more done and the zucchini served with the steak was black and shriveled. The biggest and major problem was the kitchen staff weren't cleaning their stuff so the steaks had a sour taste to them from the built up residue and burnt ends of previous dishes. Note we placed our order an hour before closing but everyone in my family has worked in kitchens for restaurants fast food or been around them to know proper cleaning procedures and those procedures were not followed.... their excuse was they had a rush today and we walked in and it was dead quiet asides from 2 tables which had already been served so there's no excuse for a grill to have a days worth or most likely multiple days worth of built up burnt grease on it. The manager came to us saying this shouldn't have been allowed to happen and give us a credit for eating free on our next visit to apologize but the kitchen staff apparently wanted us to f- off and thought they did nothing wrong basically managing their own manager that we won't be going back .
