Uncle Lim's Kitchen — Restaurant in Wilmington

horrible food& service! every time I've eaten it I've gotten sick...i should had learned the 1st time..but I thought maybe it was a fluke and I had possibly gotten sick at same time also my family and friends would eat there so I would try yet again... but getting sick doesn't happen 6 different times... and only those are the times I've gotten sick in same year...i hate to say this...but something makes me feel as if they lie about it being vegan...as when I ordered I would tell them it has to be completely vegan, not vegetarian, but vegan..one example is with their hot and sour soup, they put egg in it( not vegan) and also I know for certain that is a beef broth...and heaven only knows what kind oil they use in it( prob left oil from cooking chicken wings) ...next thing you know I'm vommitting..be cautious with this place...as my body& intuition says that something is...

I have no idea why I didn't pay attention to the bad reviews of this place... I guess I really wanted to treat myself to some delicious Chinese food, but Uncle Lim’s had other plans. The basil fried rice was SO bland, I thought I’d lost my taste buds for a second. The sesame chicken was more ‘chewy chicken-ish surprise’ and only good if you like playing ‘find the veins’ in your meat- Gross! The crab rangoon was basically an empty shell of its former self, and the phat thai must have left its seasoning in another kitchen. I came hungry, and I left…well, still hungry. I didn't even get to have fun reading a fortune cookie :( The girl behind the counter said that they're too expensive so they don't give them out anymore. Ugh. General TSO chicken combo. I’ve been eating Chinese food for about 30 years now and have enjoyed very some good Chinese in Wilmington. After some coworkers convinced me to order some Uncle Lim’s tonight, I decided to do so. To start, the egg roll was very good, noticeably smaller compared to most other places. The General TSO chicken (not sure it was chicken) was a HOT Mess. Out of the entire meal only 5 pieces were edible. The rest of it was like eating General TSO flavored extra crunchy pork rinds, you know what I mean. Crunchy and way overcooked. If I owned a kitchen and that made it one of my customers I would fire that cook. Sorry to say my first and only visit to Uncle Lim’s. After reading some reviews online, it might be time to close up shop and move on. I DO NOT recommend. M....
