My wife has been here multiple times for lunch and always enjoys it. I finally stopped in Memorial Day after attending service in Downtown Wilson. Was surprised to find them open but glad they were.
Ordered breakfast sandwiches to go (2 off the menu, 1 custom) and a Red Eye coffee while I waited, which wasn't long. Food came out in 6-7mins. Coffee was strong and hot, with a nice crema-topped espresso shot that you add whichever drip you like.
Left with the food sack, got home and found I only had 2 sandwiches (but had paid for 3). Fortunately we only live a few minutes away so I headed back (wanted the sandwich, not a refund). Owner was very apologetic and made the replacement on the fly. I was back at home in 10min.
And well worth the extra trip. Bagels were chewy and flavorful, like a NY style bagel should be. Mine was a croissant sandwich and it was flaky, soft but sturdy enough to hold together. The various fillings of eggs, cheese and meats were all delicious with a nice twist with the "shoulder bacon". The "D&D" was a glorious pile of mouthwatering excess, highly recommended.
The store itself is split level with well stocked coffee bar and just a couple tables, but more seating is available in the split level, along with some outside cafe tables. Comfy, no frills and it smells great. Prices were reasonable for the value and they offer a nice slate of breakfast offerings other than sandwiches. Can't speak to lunch directly but I know salads and sandwiches are well received by my better half. Menu continues to expand. I can see why it's a popular local food spot and I will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love this place. Itās so funny to see the negative reviews and how they are all 1* for the most benign negative experience. Or how they talk about portion size and do not reference the price and how it correlates. I love the corner deli across the street - but itās almost twice the price! This is perfect as you get really creative delicious options, that yes are smaller, but also more affordable (which I get is laughable for post Covid prices, but thatās where we are). One of our main 3 spots in the dt area between ruckus and corner but we hit this 2-3x as often because of the price and just not needing a huge meal most of the time. Friday after thanksgiving/rueben are my favorite lunch/dinner go to and the millennial is my go to breakfast sandwich. Try to deserts as well they have awesome seasonal cinnamon rolls along with all kinds of sweet treats. Thank you guys for sticking it out I know how hard it is to run a small business these days with the margins shrinking and customer complaints at an all time high not to mention labor being impossible to find. The girls that work there have always been nice and friendly to us so we personally have no...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been here twice now with my in-laws and I have to say it is absolutely delicious! My favorite sandwich is the Earl of sandwich. That horseradish aioli is delicious! I love their pasta salad side and enjoy the restaurants cozy atmosphere. Their in house dining has these cozy booths and also large tables for multiple people. Local artist works can be found around the restaurant. I highly recommend them as a delicious sandwich location with flavor notes that hit just right. The sandwich meat and veggies are very fresh and their added flavor notes with condiments is addicting. If you have a toaster oven i recommend it for the next day. Iāve enjoyed the remainder of my sandwich next day with a few minutes in the toaster oven and it was excellent still. Itās hard to find a sandwich shop often that leftovers are just as amazing as same day. I have no complaints. They have multiple options for everyone and really impress with ingredients. Definitely seek them out as I will continue to recommend them. They also have amazing breakfast options that I have not tried but look forward to...
