The older gentleman at the register met me with a scowl(I think he was the owner?) It was as if he was put out to have to take my to-go order. Although I found that unprofessional, I did not let it deter me from ordering, especially since the place has some good reviews. And to be clear, that is not the only reason l why I gave a bad review. I ordered the baked ziti with a meatball and a salad. It took about 30 minutes for this order , and there were not many other customers inside. Still, I was patient and was hoping the food would redeem the service. While I waited, I observed this man treat certain customers respectfully, and others, the same way he treated me. When my order was completed , I asked for a side of Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes to go. Usually, Italian places either have packets of these, or they put them in dressing containers. The same old man at the register absolutely refused to give me any to-go Parmesan or pepper flakes, and when I politely asked for them, he literally got angry, shoved a cheese shaker in my face and yelledâ do here! We donât do that!â The tone in which he spoke to me about a polite, normal request was unreal. This man has absolutely no manners, and I can not imagine how he keeps customers with his nastiness. Still, I probably wouldnât have given a bad review, but what made me do so was the terrible quality of the food. The Ziti was dry and did not have enough sauce mixed in, and the meatball was so dry and old tasting (and a starange color)that it was inedible. The salad was fine, but the garlic bread was stale. Very disappointing on many levels. I can not for the life of me understand how they are still in businesss. Maybe the pizza is better(thatâs what most people were eating). And maybe he fakes customer service with regulars? I donât take leaving bad reviews lightly, but I found it necessary in...
Read morePretty much been all around Wilson looking for good pizza and finally got around to trying Italian Pizza and Subs. Thank God the search is over.
Hands down best pizza we've had in town, and it rivals most of the really good New York Style pizza joints. The XL Pizza is the closest thing to a true NY pizza with a thin crust crust and big foldable pieces.
Sauce has a great flavor and toppings are plentiful and flavorful. Kind of wish the sausage was sliced rather than ground but I can live with it.
We do pizza and wings every weekend during football, and we've had the pizza two weeks in a row (takeout) and it has been consistent and outstanding both times. The Italian is basically a supreme.
It's extremely busy as it's one of the few non-chain places open (serving pizza) on Sundays during football season, and there's always a good after-church crowd.
Have not had anything other than pizza (we make our own wings) so can't comment on the subs, salads or pastas but menu looks decent and what I've seen going out to tables looks good. Update: salad was crisp, fresh...
Read moreWent to this Glorified grill. Thinking it was a Family Restaurant, to find a rude employee at ordering counter (walk in & take out) that you have to stand at to put your order in; for they have no waitresses. To have this man YELL at my kids to stop talking for i was trying to put in our order and ask them if they wanted hot or mild sauce. I was having to ask questions all along the way about there items. You could tell he was getting agitated with me not knowing how they do things there. I had told him first off that we where new and had questions. He should had gotten someone to help me or him with taking peoples orders instead of making it out that I should have known how they run this Glorified grill. I will never go back and will tell anyone that asks me about Restaurants, for me, my husband, with our 3 sons go out every weekend. And we like to try new ones too. So, TWO thumbs DOWN for...
