O'Cools Sports Bar — Restaurant in Wilson

Really nice place. They recently reduced the menu options. They use the old menus with scribbles over items they no longer offer.

They are especially busy on Monday nights for Trivia Night. But the trivia is not always correct. And the lady doing the trivia is not willing to budge on her answers, even when multiple people show proof.

There is an outdoor patio where smokers can eat. Occasionally, they have live music at no additional cost.

The food is prepared great. There are just so few options that after a few visits you can try everything they have to offer. And some of the pictures don't represent what is served. The other downside is often there is one waiter or waitress and two cooks working the entire bar. So, on heavy nights it can take 10-20 minutes to get a sandwich or side order. My drink has ran out and I drink slowly. Unless you are sitting at the bar, don't expect to have your glass filled often.

And orders occasionally get served wrong. Either missing something (one person at our table had a grilled chicken salad with the chicken missing. Another person was lactose intolerant and asked for no cheese on a sandwich and had a slice of cheese melted on the bread).

The attention to detail is missing. The menus are in need of being reprinted. There are exceptions to sides not listed, an entree section completely scribbled out, the prices have changed, a Facebook page that hasn't been updated in over two years... It's like it's owned by people who aren't involved in growing a business and took over a failing business without improving it.

It's a great place to meet with a group of friends. The food is good, but it's more of a bar with food, than a restaurant with a bar. Lots of regulars, which is good for the business, but not for...

Wings wings wings! Been craving wings and this place was a outstanding surprise! Probably one of the best wing of entire NC! Crispy, juicy, good amount of meat and perfect sauce! Anything fried was done to perfection, with a thin coat of crisp and full of flavour.

If you’re after beer, they have the main beers like yuenling, modelo etc

If youre after a drink - they got you. Even had a list of cocktails at a great price.

I would definitely recommend anyone this place for wings and beer!

Oh not fully sure about this one - we just walked in and sat our selves. They had 1 waitress for the entire place - I loved being left alone, I know it’s not what Americans like normally, but the waitress was great, sure your order may take a while longer but definitely a place to take it easy, sit back...

Stopped in for lunch and a beer. After ordering my bottle of beer the bartender walked to the kitchen once, closed out 2 other people's tabs and I finally had to ask for my beer again. I was told to wait a minute, which I did...she returned and pulled the beer up from the cooler directly in front of my seat at the bar. Was going to have lunch too but if I'm looking at their menu they have scratched off nearly a third of their offerings and nothing left was very appealing. I've been here before in the past and had an okay time, but this visit sealed the deal and I will never return. Not to mention my one beer at noon cost me nearly $5! There was only five other...
