We wanted breakfast weekend before last and decide to try out the new waffle house down the street. We walk in and they have one of their men (young man probably in early/mid 20’s) he is jotting down names for seating purposes. The people in front of us who have been waiting get seated. We wait for a good 15-20 minutes and a man comes in and he is asking how long the wait time is going to be so he can let his family know if they need to turn off the car or go somewhere else. The guy that took our name down and the other guy that just walked in start whispering and turning their backs towards us at the same time eyeballing me from the corner of his eye. I’m not an idiot so I waited to see what would happen. Of course a table clears and the guy who took our name tells them to come over for this table that is now empty and tells us we are next. Excuse me, but we waited for a good 20 minutes and you are NOT about to let someone in front of us who have been quietly and patiently waiting. Not to mention he acts like he lost our name on a page with only 2 other names listed. Like be for real. But anyways, I went to the counter to ask for the manager and whoever the lady was stopped the guy who took our name and sat us down before the other people. The dude was being real shady and wouldn't look at me after and I couldn’t care less. I don't know if he knew the dude or not but he knew he was wrong and he knew what he was doing. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know it was clearly a thing to do with skin color.
