Checkers — Restaurant in Winchester

I've been here twice since moving to Virginia and both times there's only been 2 employees in the whole restaurant. I understand why they use a robot to take orders as it seems only 1 of the two speaks fluent English.

The first time I came here I made the mistake of going inside the establishment, there's a reason it's always empty. Due to short staffing, I ended up standing there for 5 minutes before getting any attention and I could tell I was holding them up. They tried to be nice about it but they ended up running around while talking to me and I got maybe 2 minutes of direct communication. I'm obviously not going to hold this against them as they were running everything by themselves. If this store has an owner or manager, I've never seen them actually work.

As for the food, it was nice both times. Fresher than McDonald's or Starbucks but they're very liberal with garlic. They could be the last fortress against a vampire apocalypse and they'd win with 1 fry. If you don't like seasoning or garnishment, you'll hate the food.

Horrible service!! Mike the manager, if that’s really his name, is rude and has no customer service skills!!! Checkers has been one of my favorite fast food restaurants for years but my experience today has me ready to never give another Checkers my business again. My first issue was when I asked for bbq sauce, I was told they charge.30 cents for sauces except ketchup. I have NEVER been charged for sauce. Then, I get halfway home only to realize they didn’t put my fries in the bag. Mind you, I only ordered a sandwich and fries. So I had to turn around and go back. I get to the window and tell them they didn’t give me fries. He takes my receipt and my bag back through the window, which I know they aren’t supposed to do, then gives me my bag back with fries in it. However, when I got home the fry box was barely filled!! I called the restaurant and asked for the corporate number and he tells me to Google it! I’ve never had such poor service in my life!! I wasted time and money but never again. I will not go back to...

We pulled up to the drive-thru and a voice comes over and says you can order so obviously it was not a person it was a robot or whatever you want to call it we ordered what we ordered a bacon cheeseburger meal no onions and a barbecue bacon cheeseburger no tomato meal one with a Diet Coke one with a regular Coke it then said got it and when it read back our order there was mozzarella sticks on there there was every appetizer four or five drinks not one cheeseburger or the barbecue cheeseburger not one single meal everything was a la carte so we said can we talk to someone and it said okay you can drive through so you know what we did we kept driving screw that waste of time waste of energy and I lost 5 minutes of my life from some stupid robot that no one could come and say hey how you doing can I get your order today and get it right our bill was supposed to be 20 some dollars it ended up being $53 really never ever in this lifetime again Checkers has completely...
