I wish I could give this place negative stars. The only good thing about it was the atmosphere. The food was okay, but not anything special. Then to make matters worse, when my husband told our server, Paisley, about my food allergies (allergic to onions), she seemed to be obvious to how food allergies work because even after it was made clear to leave the onions off of our food, it was still served to us with onions on it. Then when it was sent back, instead of taking the issue seriously, they just removed the onions and sent the same food back out to us. My husband told Paisley for the 4th time that having onions on our food would send me to the hospital. Then she proceeded to remove our food and have it remade. It took 15-20 minutes to get his food, a double cheeseburger and my hamburger steak was not cooked as requested and was nothing more than a hamburger party slapped on a plate, no gravy, sauce or anything else was offered with it. I also ordered a side salad with my meal and had to ask 3 different people about it before I finally received my salad. Also was charged for items that we ordered and never received. If you eat here be prepared for a train wreck and do yourself a favor and make sure you get any one but Paisley to wait on you. She is absolutely the worst excuse for a server that I have ever seen!

Note: I waited tables for several years and know how customers...

As I was traveling I found this unique small town gem in Winchester, TN. I was told it started in 1976 and changed hands a few times. The original owner Skip was a big guy who loved food and famous for his large thick hamburgers. He passed away but his legacy is still going and I liked it. They were great to accommodate my gluten allergy. I liked the grilled chicken it was tender and moist. The yams were out of this world I have to say. The cole slaw was plain but tasty. Next is the green beans they were good with alittle kick from the black pepper. I had a salad with honey mustard but they make there own ranch dressing in house I hear. They put boiled eggs 🥚cut in half which I really liked. The prices were very reasonable for the amount food I ordered too. Checkout the Elvis party room. 🥳 Last but not least ice cream with hot chocolate drizzled on top. Oh yah.... The restaurant itself is a country home town feel that I loved. The whole restaurant was newly renovated. The 1950's style bar feel is a nice touch. The people in the town are very warm and friendly. My waitress Jessica was friendly and did a great job. I recommend this restaurant if you are in town or just passing through. Let them know I sent you. EDIT: I'm autistic, and I can't help but try to help when people vocalize their problems.

I ended up having back to back bad experiences at this place with the management. They'd say fifteen minutes and instead food would take over an hour.

I didn't mind, but I stopped going regularly. However, I'd followed them on Facebook and when they posted a rant about how angry some of their customers had been about long waits, I chimed in with suggestions, hoping to help them work through things.

Instead of reading through and reflecting, or thanking me and brushing it off, or even just ignoring me, the staff attacked my character on Facebook and told people that I was a problem who "always found fault and was never happy with anything."

It's simply untrue, I really loved this place. The food is okay and the wait staff is wonderful, but the management has lost a customer forever in me.

Do not recommend. Or if you go, expect a wait and don't say a word about it because there viscous people online.

Former review: Really great little place, very quick and friendly. Ordering to go is old school and if they get busy that aspect can be unreliable, but go in person and you won't be...

In town for funeral and decided to try this place out. Food was cold when it got to the table. “Catfish” was not good at all. It along with fries were cold. Burger dressed incorrectly but was promptly corrected. Salad was a JOKE. $4.00 for .50 worth of product is ridiculous. It was not busy enough to justify the temp of our food when it arrived. Hopefully it was an off night. If their warming lamps are broke they need to get them fixed or turn them on. Would not return did enjoy the bacon. It would be nice to offer it on your salads along with other toppings.
