Franklin County Public Library — Attraction in Winchester

I will never go to this library again. I checked out some books FOUR years ago with late fees because I was in a hospital and couldn't return them. When I explained to the woman on the line plain out said 'well if everyone who was in the mental hospital didn't pay fines no one would'. She didn't care! She was cold and inhumane. I will never attend this library. Last year they were so nice! Now they are horrible! Completely horrible! I will never attend this library and I'll advise all my family and friends to do the same. Not only do they not care about their customers' health and they lie about the turn in date to make as much money as completely possible! I hope this library goes under. Every since all those updates they're all about money. What a shame too, last year it was a true safe...

Update of 9/30/2024: The Library is a welcoming place. The people at the desk are so helpful. They are updating the service desk area. There are frequent story times sessions for children. Note of 3/2023: The Library has great programs for children. There are frequent speakers on historical topics, usually on the weekends. There is a "Friends of the Library" group that works to help the Library with more community outreach. I recommend all to join and support...

Nice,quiet, friendly employee very helpful &willing to help. clean Bathroom beside the person not flushing the toilet after use it still smelted good well picked up Bathroom for a public bathroom.All around very nice place to read a book & stay to yr time & not be bothered.
