This is an email I sent directly to Erik’s church website- Hi there. I just wanted to write a message to let you know about my experiences so far at Eriks Church. One, the service...the servers are really friendly, but I think they might be caught up TOO much in the friendly game. A few times we have been there and “please seat yourself ” sign is usually there which is fine, until you’ve been sitting there for 20 minutes and finally have to go FIND a server for yourself whom ends up being the same server who stood there and chatted with the table next to us for a good 20 mins before she finally came over and asked us if we needed anything. Next, the pricing...HOLY $8 for a shot of Dr. McGillicuddy’s!? AND you have NO Salt&pepper on the tables and do not serve ranch as a side. Do you know how many people prefer that with their food? INSANE. Another thing, Wednesday night karaoke, the system you have for that....straight up BONKERS. We were there for over 2 hours before we FINALLY got called to karaoke. There were MULTIPLE people who got to karaoke twice before we even got up there. How is that fair? I feel they play favorites. And when asked about it, they were very ignorant and rude. Also, rumor has it that people pay them off to bump their name on the list. We have been coming there strictly because of the karaoke nights, and I understand it can be busy and you can get a good crowd in there, but I sat next to the dj booth and observed and I’m not naive, I could see what they were doing. So far, not only has my experiences been the BARE minimum of service but I’m not the only one. I’ve heard multiple complaints from others. As of right now, I, and many others I know of, will not be back. And maybe me writing this is all pointless because I’m sure I won’t hear back, and I’m sure nothing will be done about it. And I know my ONE review won’t put a damper on your establishment but I needed to vent. In the end it boils down to the customer service. Which is not great by any means. So please, work on that. And I wish you the best of luck. I will also be writing a review for anyone else...
Read moreWe were heading up to our seasonal place and left MA a little later than we wanted, we needed to grab a good dinner to-go and wanted something on the simpler side. We had never been before tonight but have passed it a few times.
We called pretty close to closing time (my fiance and I have both worked in the food industry before so we felt bad) to place a to-go order and not only were they willing to do it, they were as nice as can be. I am SURE I’ve sounded irritated before at a customer for calling late but if they felt that way— you couldn’t tell.
I got the crispy chicken wrap with hand cut fries and a side of honey mustard. The fries were SO good. Thick, still hot and crispy, can’t complain- also appreciated the little tubs of ketchup. The lettuce was fresh and crispy/crunchy— it wasn’t dressed super heavy so no soggy wrap which was also very fresh. The croutons were buttery and looked homemade but I could be wrong. And it had a lot of crispy fried bite size chicken pieces.
My fiancé got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with the handcut fries and a side of honey mustard and he also loved the fries and LOVED his sandwich! he has a high tolerance for spice and would rank it a medium. He likes things a little extra saucier too so if that’s also your thing get an extra side of ranch but that’s totally a personal preference thing and not a knock on them.
And the honey mustard was in giant sauce cups— bigger than the average dressing cup.
The staff seriously could not have been nicer, the place was spotless, it was quick, big portions and priced just a little lower than what you’d expect. Checked whether or not we needed utensils and napkins before we left. They even threw in a few extras. We will definitely be repeat customers and definitely want to go in next time to experience the bar.
To the manager, the two girls working the dining room on Tuesday 8/5 are stellar!!
If you’ve got a place on Fyre- don’t count this place out on the way...
Read moreThis was my 4th or 6th time here. What started out good has declined now to inedible. Went out with a party of 6. Bang bang shrimp app and onion ring app was ok- standard frozen food fried up. My 1st drink I ordered appletini, very light ( just a splash, please) on the apple pucker. It was very green- I would guess 1 oz pucker 1.5 oz vodka. I took a few sips then ordered something else. I let the waitress know I didn't like it. I ordered a rum punch- someone else in my party said it was good- just very fruity. I ended up getting 2- very weak drink. But tasted good. My meal was pricey- came out cold (baked haddock) with no seasoning and hard to tell in the dim lighting there but felt undercooked. I sent it back to be warmed up and it came back warmer. Fries were cold 1st time, came back piping hot. My husband got the reuben. He had it there last time. This time it came in a sub roll and he said it wasn't good( brought it home and never ate it.) Someone got the mac n cheese with chicken. Picked at it. Someone got a grilled chicken sandwich. Ate 1/3. Other 2 in our party said their food was ok, just not hot. Waitress did not offer me any kind of credit for the drink or haddock- I don't like to ask- I think it means more if it is offered or just taken right off. I tip on what I would have paid- and my customer experience is better when I am valued.
I gave 2 stars because the live music was Isaiah Bennett. And he is...
