Let me start by saying that the service is friendly and helpful. No one was rude, it was decently clean and pretty fast service.
I've been going here my whole life on the way to beach it's been a tradition to go here. Always seemed better than the rest, good hot fresh food.
Since I've last been here, they have remolded and updated the building which in my opinion has took away a lot of its charm but it's clean and well kept.
Too get to the point now the quality of food has completely taken a nose dive. If you have been to any dairy queen recently the food is of the same disappointing quality.
To be specific, I ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich which was the best thing the three of us ordered. It wasnt good, but it wasn't awful, the chicken was cheap tasting, the bacon chewy/fatty and the ranch was fine. My mother ordered the the Kansas city BBQ which was actually awful. She couldn't eat it and me thinking it couldn't be that bad decided to exchange sandwiches with her. The flavor was hard to stomach, it tasted like it was sour. My father got a hotdog and it didn't just did not taste as good as they used to, it tasted of a cheap quality and extra salty that is completely unlike how they used to be.
This isn't the fault of the staff, the cooks or the cashiers. Dairy queen corporation and perhaps the manager are the ones who let the quality swing this far low.
It really was disappointing to see such a regular stop like this take such a turn for the worse and I'm afraid I'll never be stopping...
Read moreIf I could give no stars I would... Came through the drive thru at about 10:45pm last night (7/19/25) we ordered, pulled up to the window and the girl working the window was extremely rude(if you dont like people dont work in customerservice). When we got our food it was practically pushed out the window at us... The manager on duty had an absolutely horrific disgusting attitude. I ordered a chicken strip basket and they did not give me my sauce and when I flagged one of them down to get my sauce the girl looked at me rolled her eyes and ignored me, the manager came from outside to the window I explained and when he returned he rudely insisted I pay for sauce that supposed to come with my chicken strips? When I opened the box to show no sauce and he preceeded to roll his eyes "whatever" slammed the drive through window. If eye rolls and sighs were on the menu, five stars. Otherwise, this was a masterclass in how not to treat...
Read moreI always try to support our local businesses, but this right here is why I refuse to buy anything from Dairy Queen any more. About a 4-6 weeks ago, those of us (4 truck drivers) who parked there all the time were told we could no longer do so. There is now a BIG sign stating you may park only to eat and then you have to leave or you will be towed. So why then has this truck been parked there all weekend. And not just this weekend either. I get it. You want to make more money. Guess what? One of the drivers bought his breakfast there EVERY DAY. So, probably $50-$60 a week or more. I also spent quite a lot of money there. Probably $200-300/month between buying for my household and my mothers. Don’t know about the other 2 drivers, so I can’t speak for them.
Update: 5/23/2020- In response to DQ- NOT A CHANCE IN YOU-KNOW-WHERE. And I see that same tractor trailer is over there again this morning (more than likely will be...
