Had prescriptions filled for a family member there for approximately 2 years due to the convenience of the pharmacy’s location to my family members home. In the beginning, they entered said family members birthdate wrong and it took forever to change so that was frustrating. The last straw was when I made a phone call and after verifying the patients DOB and full name was given prescription information to confirm it had been received and billed correctly. The next day I call again (because the patient had not received a text confirming the prescription was ready) and am told, after verifying the patients full name, DOB, and offering address/phone number that they can’t talk to me unless the patient gives them authorization. As I said, I’ve been dealing with them for 2 years and have discussed multiple prescriptions with them and have never had them tell me that. I work in two different pharmacy settings and am fully aware of how HIPPA works. If someone knows as much information about a patient as I did and isn’t suppose to know about their prescriptions that is beyond the pharmacy and it’s staff. When I informed the pharmacist (who may be the pharmacy manager) that id never been told that and it doesn’t work like that at either of my pharmacies I was told “well maybe you should transfer his prescriptions there.” I did not deserve to be spoken to like that and her attitude was highly uncalled for to say the least. Rest assured that I got off the phone and contacted our local town pharmacy and the prescription was transferred and we will not be using CVS Windsor in the future. Corporate has been notified of the...
Read moreThis rating is for the pharmacy only. Whoever I spoke with on the phone regarding my prescription was very impersonal and disinterested in my dilemma which was; I was out of my medication (because of a snafu between my doctor and ExpressScripts) that I needed today, having it filled outside of ExpressScripts requires that CVS call in to them for an override code to get an "emergency fill" covered by my insurance company. She did say they were busy and would get to it when they could but even though I said more than once that I was completely out of my medication that I needed today, her overall attitude was indifferent and made no commitment to help me get my prescription filled today. I still haven't gotten my medication. At what point are we at where it's ok to treat customers and people in general like this who are coming to you for help? I suggest people go elsewhere to get their...
Read moreThis location used to be the bomb.com but, they started to understaff the pharmacy so wait times became longer. Ms Allison, Linda, Lori, Heather and Wayne try so hard to keep up with everything but, CVS seems to make it harder and harder on them. They are such personable and caring (home town type) people and try so hard to make all us customers happy with fast and efficient work but, there never seems to be enough pharmacy techs to go around. One person seems to be doing the job of 3 while the line gets longer and longer. They NEED more good people like them to make this place great again! And not like the rude and unwilling people they are now hiring...I will most likely be moving my families prescriptions elsewhere because of the unrealistic work environment CVS seems to supply to their employees and because of the uptight and unpleasant people they...
