Giovanni's Pizza Restaurant Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Windsor

If I could give this restaurant negative stars I would, but I'll definitely just settle for an honest review of my experience. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad for delivery. My order was delivered in a timely manner, which was great. That is however, where the good experience came to an end. I opened up the bag that my salad was in and discovered that they had forgotten my dressing. (Not a HUGE deal, but okay.) I opened up the salad, and to my surprise the lettuce and ALL of the toppings, chicken included were sopping wet, with a good half an inch of water in the bottom of the salad container. I called the restaurant and they offered to send me another salad, which I accepted. Around a half an hour later the second salad was delivered, this time the dressing was there, but the salad was again COMPLETELY waterlogged. I called the restaurant back for a second time asking for a refund, and was told that I needed to speak to the manager who had, and I quote "stepped out" and wouldn't be back for an hour. So I waited for a return phone call for almost TWO HOURS, and NOTHING. So, of course, I called back and asked to speak with a manager only to be told they were still out of the building, so I let the person on the phone know that I wasn't hanging up until he got ahold of his manager. He did, and the manager is now demanding that I return the food, all of which has now been thrown away, and that is the only way I'll get my money refunded to me. We will definitely not be ordering from Giovanni's ever again! After ordering a large pizza, we were informed they were out of large pizzas, which was the first time we've ever hear anything like that from a pizza restaurant. Nonetheless , we were offered a medium and a small for the price of a large pizza as an alternative. However, after waiting a hour and a half, for a medium greasy pizza, we realized they never sent the small that we were promised . When we called the store to inform them of this, the owner was extremely dismissive and rude in the background and said he didn't charge us for the large and didn't seem to care that we didn't have enough food to feed everyone. When I expressed my disappointment with my experience, the only solution offered was to wait an hour for a small pizza to be delivered. The owner would not get on the phone and offered no apology for the inconvenience, which speaks to the lack of customer service this restaurant embodies. We do not believe it was a mistake. The "decision" to omit the small pizza seemed to be financially motivated. Rather than tell us he could not accommodate our request from the beginning , he offered us a solution in order to make sure they got our business then decided it would not be cost effective and never bothered to notify us (the customer). Shady place to work at. Not only me but a good friend of mine had problems working here. My friend worked here for a week or two and they never once paid her for the hours she worked and she even clocked in and everything. She showed up months later asking about her money and they said “oh we will call you on Monday” never once called her. I had issues working here as well, I worked here while pregnant and the manager for the bar was extremely rude to me. I once called out sick a day in advance with a doctors note while being pregnant and she basically told me I wasn’t “allowed” to work the rest of my work week until I took it up with the higher up manager. Also by the time I was 32 weeks pregnant they said “we don’t have any hours for you” I asked if I was being let go and what the reason was and I got ignored completely multiple times. I was planning on working atleast another month to save money for once my baby got here but they wanted to discriminate against me for being pregnant, and without ever officially saying I was terminated I couldn’t get unemployment or go to the department of labor and report them for discrimination. I only worked here maybe 4-5 months and I saw multiple girls come and go working here..that definitely says something. Would not recommend giving business to a...
