Disappointed... some of the food was good, hence 2 stars. Other than that, the ambiance consisted of Chinese takeout style seating attended by a waitress who could not keep track of what was going on, a family with kids running around and playing videos of people screaming for the whole restaurant to hear, and the service was slow. We sat there for 5 minutes with food on the table before she realized we had no utensils. In the time we were eating there we saw 1 family get up and leave without ordering anything and 2 takeout orders were messed up.
Watch what you order, too. We thought we were ordering mutton. Come to find out, it was just mutton bones and fat in a soup. When we complained, we were told that is what we ordered and we should have asked if it was just bones and fat. The woman was very proud to tell us they cook it for 3 days... doesnt matter if you dont eat bones and fat! She should have offered something else or took it off the bill.
Speaking of the bill, we never received one. She just told us the total was $60 even. I have no idea how it could have been that even... she pressed calculator buttons to get the total... never even rang the items into the register. Basically, almost everything was disorganized and disappointing in this visit. The nan bread was...
Read moreService is not great at all. Served lukewarm water. No ice. They never kept the curtain closed in the back so we could see them wiping our plates with a rag and cleaning our pitcher before putting water in it.
At one point the waiter didn't answer my question, I was completely ignored. Tried to serve us mango Lassi out of the fridge in the front instead of fresh. Long wait for food.
After eating food, me and my husband still never received lassi. Then at the end of the pitcher of water, after pouring, I found some white thread looking thing in my glass.
The food was good. Chapli kebab was unnecessarily salty, while my chicken makhni was sweet, still tasty chicken makhni.
They give food portions of specialities, and good portion of rice. Able to feed a family of 6 with three specialities and many naan and 1 serving of rice.
Good place to go if you don't feel like cooking but aren't looking for anything special Food fits it's price range....
Read moreI ordered vegetable samosas and chicken tikka masala. The samosas were of a different format than what I'm accustomed to, but they were delicious with a mild/medium level of heat. The chicken tikka masala was also a little different in consistency, but at medium heat, it was phenomenal.
The owner was kind and friendly, and service was fast. I was in and out within 15 min.
The prices are incredibly fair. Great place to stop for nice lunch on any budget.
Only two cons; the bathroom soap seemed watered down. Not a deal-breaker, but there you go. Also, rice is a separate purchase, and is not included with your meal. I'm unaccustomed to this, as all other places I've been to include it.
All in all, a great place with great fresh food, friendly staff, and fair prices....
