Subway — Restaurant in Windsor

We have tried this Subway several times, and there always seems to be something we have a problem with. Rheir staff is extremely poorly trained (and young)Last time I put in the order online for 2 meals and when I got home there was bacon on my wife's sub, she does not eat pork, it makes her sick. I brought one of the meals back up there and the young girl working in there literally argued with me saying that the Turkey Avocado ALWAYS has bacon. That I was wrong, I literally had to google it and show her the ingredients before she realized that it is not supposed to be there unless it's added. That's why their slips tell them every ingredient, and no where on our receipt did it say we wanted bacon. I wasn't even really that upset until I brought it back to the store and the young, improperly trained girl decided that she was going to be argumentative about it. The manager, when she FINALLY CALLED her ended up refunding both meals, which she didnt have to do. But I definitely appreciated it, especially when the worker literally acted like I was stupid in front of their other guests. I worked at Subway a million years ago, and they don't prep snything the way I was taught to. EX. They don't mix the chicken in with the teriyaki sauce, they just put globs.of it on top of the sandwich Was not at all good this way. Plus it was cold because they didn't preheat the chicken in the microwave. The toaster oven won't heat it all the way. Definitely left something to be desired, and definitely was not heated to a safe temp. We will stick to the Subways in Chesapeake! At least they are consistent, one owner for a majority.of them. If your in Suffolk, might want to consider WAWA instead. Mayne when the staff shortage resolves itself they can take the time to properly train the staff, and honestly they should have a food safety manager there on each shift. So that they know it's important to store and heat the food correctly. They should invest a little bit of money and send some of them.to ServSafe. Wouldn't be a bad idea, before someone...

I stop here to and from the beach multiple times a year as I have food sensitivities and they have been kind and accommodating. It is not easy to find real food on road trips. I usually take my own food and eat out at farm to table scratch kitchens as I favor healthy, organic, fresh, local, real food but those places are normally expensive and sadly they are few and far between. Subways sometimes work for me...have noticed some are better than others. Sometimes at normal Lunch hours they have been busy and were a little slow. Anyway, this place works for us... I get a plain lettuce salad here and ask them to shred/chop it fine for me and just use oregano on it as I travel with my own dressing. My family who are without food restrictions can order sandwiches or salads and we have never had a bad experience in the 4 years we have been stopping there. Nestled in a corner of a small shopping strip...but easy in, easy out, plenty of parking, The tables and restrooms are clean and it is a good place to stretch a bit and most importantly they have been pleasant! I wrote this note on another review site that had only one 1 star really bad review and I felt that was unfair so I shared what I thought because sadly sometimes people are more motivated by anger than appreciation and often if there are problems people do not take the time to communicate with the manager to work things out. Found these Google reviews for this place when I went to look up the address again... anyway I think folks should consider it is not easy working with the public! And while I am on my soapbox in general people need to also communicate and ask for healthier food in ALL...

Well I found out that they changed my favorite sub.it has different meat on it now. The girls were telling us of all the things they had done away with and what more they were going to do away with. Also that buy 2 get one free sub special they offer is great till they only offer it online cause they dont tell you that their site wont accept prepaid credit cards certain bank cards even a card that the money that is put on it by Social security administration. It has to be a certain type of Credit card or you cant even order and pay for your dinner more or less get any deal they offer. I think Zeros Subs needs to come up here and run them out of business they have better...
