2.5 really. This is a walk-up food truck type place. The guy inside was friendly enough. Service was fairly quick with about a 10 minute wait for our food after we ordered. We have been here several times and the results are always the same. The flavors are good and the vegetables and rice are cooked well. The issue is that every protein we order is always very overcooked. The steak is always well done no matter how you order it making it very dry and chewy. The chicken is cooked the same with the same results. The shrimp and scallops have always ended up on the rubbery side. The salmon ends up very dry. We usually also order the crab Rangoon and sometimes the fried calamari, and those are always really good. If this place could prepare the proteins better it would be a solid spot. Ordered 2 Hiro specials. That’s shrimp, steak, chicken, vegetables, and rice. We asked for one special without rice, but what we received was extra rice on both plates, no vegetables, and the yum yum sauce didn’t taste right. We eat there almost every weekend during the summer when we go to the drive-in movies. Last summer was awesome, everything was great. But this time, when I ordered, the call was answered by one of those foreigners we can’t understand, which was weird because it’s always a teenage girl or boy that answers, and never an issue before. This place is fantastic for the price. Lots of food in the chicken hibachi plate. Spring rolls are... well... spring rolls. Can't really mess those up besides overcooking, which hasn't happened here in the maybe 10-15 times we've been so far. Sushi is great here. Average prices for that at $5-$10 per roll. It's definitely a local favorite if driving 45 minutes to Jasper is out of the question. Only have great things to say for this business. Definitely recommend...
