šŸ• Angelo's Italian Restaurant in Winnsboro, Texas is a quiet, unassuming local spot off of South Main Street. It has a family-friendly environment, the service was nice, and the food could have been a bit better. If I come again, I'll have to try their pastas, as their pizza was not much to write home about. Overall, great local spot with friendly staff! Food: We ordered two medium pizzas - pepperoni and a half meat lovers / half veggie. We also ordered some garlic bread. All of this came with some free bread. Note for the garlic bread - the garlic taste is strong, not your typical garlic bread bought at the store. Service: The service was fair. There was one server out front - she was kind and welcoming. She had to juggle between receiving incoming orders over the phone, people coming to order to-go, and several parties who were seated. Atmosphere: Quiet, yet family-friendly. Enjoyed the artwork on the wall that represented Italy and Italian culture. Low ceiling and wall texture made the place feel very homey, like you're eating dinner in someone's home.

This is legitimate Italian food! The building is small on the outside, but the food has big flavor. Lots of options for any taste. I had the chicken cacciatore. There were a couple artichoke pieces that were stringy, but the flavor overall was amazing. Portions are big, so you won’t leave hungry. Prices are mostly reasonable, and the service is above average. We’ll be back!

My favorite dish is Chicken Marsala and it can either be really good, or terribly bland. I knew that I was taking a chance ordering it from a new restaurant. Sadly, I won't be ordering the Marsala again. The Veal Parm was good, but the lobster ravioli was delicious. The ravioli made up for the bland Marsala. Tiramisu was traditional.

normally I wouldn't write a review but after our 2nd attempt at dining here I feel I must. our first time was about a year ago. I remember being only 1 of 3 other tables being served. the Veal was overdone. so tonight we arrived just after 5pm. we were the only patrons there. we were promptly seated. I ordered a soda. bread was delivered and we ordered Calamari. 5 minutes later the server returned and asked if we'd like to order fried cheese because they were OUT OF CALAMARI. we asked for the stuffed mushrooms. The server informed us that they were also OUT OF MUSHROOMS. we told her we were going to leave and did we owe anything. Of course we did. $2.11 For a soda I had a few sips out of. needless to say we will never return. Wound up, at the servers suggestion, going to Romas in Sulphur Springs and THAT...

Ordered food for take out but wished we had stayed at the restaurant because its so cozy. Authentic Italian taste! This is the real deal, perfect local Italian! Cheerful atmosphere, lovely wait staff and food was "A" amazing šŸ‘ and for a great price. I had Manicotti which was deep in rich tomato sauce with soft, fresh pasta and cheese. Very aromatic and went well with my Cabernet Sauvignon. My daughter had Pepperoni Pizza which was light and crispy crust with light tomato sauce, cheese and big piece of pepperoni...her medium was a large and very enjoyable, New York Style Pizza! And the bread..lord I ate 2 rolls before I stopped myself. Soo soft and perfect light garlic and butter. Overall perfect Italian on a cold December night. Served with a smile. I was impressed and will be...
