So disappointed. The exterior was old and dilapidated. There was no “immaculate” garden, only a filthy dirty Koi Pond. It was so dingy you could barely see the actual fish. The house appears to have not been painted in years; nothing like the pictures on the website. Parking is scarce and difficult. The inside was clean and nice compared to the outside. Could not really enjoy the interior of the house, because upon arriving I found the first floor occupied by approximately 30 locals participating in a domino tournament. The event started at 10 am and finished around 5 pm. Very crowded and noisy. The actual room was nice and roomy. The bed was very comfortable. Read moreWe had the opportunity to be the first paying guests after the Oaklea Mansion's extensive renovation. This historic landmark is now beautiful with several guest rooms with private baths. It was the perfect place for our girls' trip which included shopping and spa very close to the Mansion. The amenities include a full breakfast, all day coffee bar and frig stocked with waters, sodas and appetizers. The claw foot tub and handmade soaps were beautiful touches.
