I ordered three meals. Chicken lomein, orange chicken with fried rice and general tso's chicken with fried rice. I repeated the meals twice. And the lady even read it back to me. Then another lady took over the phone and I also told her the three meals. I also made sure to ask them to include the same size rice portions for each chicken meal because the last 4-5 times, we get one big/normal size rice and then a tiny container of rice. The meals cost the same. Why are you not giving me the same container sizes of rice?
Then when I get there to pick up, my order was wrong. It took awhile to finally get refunded properly and then I was charged for the meal that they forgot. Honestly at that point, it should have been comped. Then when i get home, I get the food out of the bag and I see that I was given one larger sized rice and one small one. Which I made sure to ask them not to do. But to make things worse, the large one was white rice and I specifically ordered fried rice for both. I'm not very pleased at all. We have been going here for the last 8 years but ever since covid, it seems to have gone down hill. They used to include soup and an egg roll or crab Rangoon in the meals but now they don't. The prices are very high too, $14.50...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I ordered 4 meals to go. The Hong Kong chicken is completely flavorless both the breading and the meat itself had zero flavor. I mean zero, none, seriously. The "sauce" and veggies it came with was literally soup. I thought we got the wrong order because we didnt order soup. I entertained the idea and poured it on because the sauce and veggies is supposed to be combined with the chicken for the meal. It just became soggy, tasteless, dry chicken that still tasted like it was boiled in water. It was unbelievable. Ive never had Chinese takeout taste this bad. They forgot our noodles for the chow mein and they gave us more soupy, very watery sauce mixed with the meat and cabbage we were supposed to add to the noodles. No idea why everything is so watery and soupy when it isnt soup. My boyfriends pho soup was completely tasteless. Completely. With dry beef pieces, very chewy, no flavor. And most shocking of all, somehow the Kung pao chicken, something that's supposed to be flavorful and spicy, also had no flavor. Yes. No flavor. Its insane to ask $61 for food I wouldn't even eat for free. Very sad to wait all day to get food together and its THIS bad. Id give zero stars if I could. Money wasted, please...
Read moreWhen I lived in Winona I ate lunch here three times per week! I'm not sure why it says the prices are 11-30 dollars.... lunch is about 8 dollars and includes a huge portion with a drink, your choice of eggroll or crab rangoons, and a choice of soup (eggdrop or hot and sour). I almost always had leftovers. They also do take out. Dinner is served family style so it's pretty impractical to go there by yourself past 4:00 pm. The dinner portions are much bigger and are between 12 and 15 dollars usually. My personal favorite is hong kong chicken if you like a light batter and aren't too adventurous. Great Flavor! If you want something spicier the hunan beef is a great choice. Moo Goo Gai Pan if you like white sauce. All of the chicken dishes are amazing, the beef is very good but sometimes a little chewy, the lamb is well prepared, and the shrimp is good too. It's about the only place in town you can eat duck. They also have plenty of great vegetarian options and curries in addition to American Chinese food. There isn't a bad appetizer on the menu. If you are used to more traditional soups, here it is toned down to suit a more Americanized pallet, but they are still good. ...
