I got 2 slices, sausage and a new spicy pepperoni. Pizza was good. I like bread so the crust was enjoyable, thick but airy. The sausage slice was a bit light on cheese and sauce. I ended up buying a cup of marinara sauce on the side to dip, that was much better. Being light on sauce and cheese caused it to be a bit light on taste too. The pepperoni slice had tons of shredded pepperoni but also light on sauce. The pepperoni that was underneath was a bit mushy, probably due to the honey. It was still pretty good. I had a small issue with one of the slices and they graciously took care of it.
I’m lactose intolerant so it was a bit of a stretch for me to eat here but I wanted to try it. I wasn’t disappointed. It was a good splurge. It would be fantastic if they eventually added a non-dairy cheese option.
Pizza was good, service and location is great. The Bottleworks is still under construction and there are no lights as you walk to and from the restaurant so it’s dark. Not a fault of the restaurant but the company overseeing the construction should add some temporary lighting especially with daylight...
Read moreI did, upon a recent evening, take my supper at the esteemed establishment known as Grandpa Joe’s Slabberia. Verily, the victuals set before me were of most delightful constitution. The crust, that noble foundation of the pie, possessed a character most uncommon: its underside bore a delicate crispness, a crackle just sufficient to stir the senses, yet never so sharp as to render injury unto the tender roof of one’s mouth. Above this, the upper stratum did present itself thick and pillowy, a most satisfying chew, reminding one of hearth-baked loaves borne forth from a village oven.
Furthermore, for those among us who possess a fondness for the sacred draught known as ranch, be assured—this house does not dispense the thin and sorrowful imitation so oft encountered, but rather the good ranch, rich and creamy, fit to accompany any portion with noble grace.
In sum, dear reader, I proclaim without hesitation that Grandpa Joe’s Slabberia stands as a beacon of culinary joy, and I would heartily commend it to any traveler who seeks a feast both...
Read morePlace is great. Only thing is that they need a menu. The guy didn’t tell us any other options for soft serve other than that, then we saw others walking around with floats.🤔The portion size for the chopped salad was super small, for $10. That being said, it was delicious. We had the burrata, potato, Italian sausage and pepperoni slabs and all were delicious but probably my fave is the Italian sausage. The garlic in it is 🔥. Keep in mind that the parking is across the street and up a hill, and there aren’t any signs for the restaurant (I didn’t see them if there are), and to get to the restaurant you have to walk through a chain link fence where it’s back and to the left. This could deter people? All in all, we enjoyed it and the owner is super nice as are the other staff. Just giving my 2 cents. We’ll be back, as I want to try their other...
