6/26/20 After a tiring Doctors Visit, mama and I went here for a late lunch. It’s always Delicious 😋! We have missed the friendly staff and food so much since the COVID-19 Virus. They had a steak and cheese hoagie special offered on the flyer at the table. It looked Great, so we both settled on that. It came to the table, and we both bit into the hoagie with smiles. Definitely, a Wonderful Hoagie!! I recommend the grilled onions, peppers and the sautéed mushrooms to go along with it. A Terrific Compliment to the Hoagie! My mama and I left there this morning Happy 😊 and Feeling Full after having a Great Breakfast! My coffee cup always remained with coffee and my mamas tea glass was always with tea. Great Service! Great Team Work shown here among two waitresses. One waitress explained what the grill was for. A unique party for the customers (wish we’d have been there earlier). Anyhow, go and let them explain why the grill is there. I went to bathroom while there and clean, no paper towels over flowing the trash can and a good scent to boot. The whole restaurant was clean. Quiet atmosphere and great service and food!

2/24/2020 My mama and I came here for lunch. It was so Good! I got the Monday Special the Turkey Sandwich which was piled high with Turkey and Delicious! Mama got the combo with the half sandwich and always Bean and Bacon Soup, she loved it! Our waitress was new to us and very attentive and friendly. She carried on conversations with my mama and she enjoyed herself. The waitress was lovely 😊! We had a Great Lunch Today!...

This place is horrible, can't imagine why there are so many good reviews! I would gladly drive out of my way before ever stepping foot in here again! The owner, Mike, is running everyone off and they treat their customers horribly. It's unclean, they did not have their masks on correctly and we saw a hair in the ice cream! Please don't fall for the good reviews. I just hope we don't get sick from the ice cream.

Addition after seeing the response below which is not surprising given the horrible attitudes in the store. No one requested you sell a half scoop of ice cream. I did however say my day had been bad when you threatened to not give my child ice cream who had just gotten hurt in a soccer game because I requested you actually wear your mask like you were supposed to and keep yourself and others safe. I apologized and still do, if that offended you, but we are all responsible for keeping each other safe. Other customers in the store also commented that they were appalled at the way we were treated and that you were the only one who was rude. Unfortunately, after getting the ice cream for my children I was scared to have them eat it given the poor quality. I hope this review will help others make a better informed decision. The health and safety information you have indicated about your business is false, since your masks were either not on or only halfway covering, and we saw no evidence of disinfecting, but hopefully this situation can be a learning experience that will help you improve conditions for your customers and yourselves. Mayberry's on Miller street has been there since I was in high school back in the late 70s. They're similar to the old 50s and 60s Malt Shoppes where kids would hangout with friends. Sort of a cross between that and your typical family restaurant from my generation. I didn't really go over the menu because, well, I just wanted some ice cream.

I ordered a bananas galore (a large banana split) and the server offered a glass of water too. He brought the water and immediately began preparing the split. It was a generous three scoop deal made with flavors of my choosing, mocha almond, pistachio almond and black cherry. With pineapple and English walnuts. It comes with there own special chocolate but I have to take a pass on chocolate. Now to be honest this was a very tasty treat but the flavors I chose were all over the map in diversity and so my taste buds really didn't discern the unique flavors of each one.

My server was a young man but very polite and pleasant and because I was sitting at the bar rather than a booth I observed that all the employees seamed to be happy and relaxed. Several asked if I needed anything and if the food was to my liking. I definitely recommend this place for their ice cream alone. But I'm sure their other menu items are...
