Wow!! What a great find! Visiting town and looking for a local tea shop for tea to go. Walking into Angelinas Teas was the best surprise. It's a local book store, tea shop, and international foods all in one. The perfect place to sit and enjoy a cup while journaling, reading, chilling, or just shopping for that fun international food to try. They have honey from Italy and Spain and North Carolina and Nebraska and more. There are pastas and cheese and dip seasoning mixes and olive oils. Chocolates and sweet treats from Germany, Italy, France and other European countries. Pottery and containers (air scape are amazing!!) and cheese boards galore. Then there's the namesake, tea! Wow what a selection of loose leaf. Owner Wade is pleasant and enjoyable to work with. Whether it's holiday season or just the everyday, this is your perfect place to support local business and taste something new from across the world. Highly recommend.

Edit: I already left a positive review but I wanted to leave a second one because Wade is awesome. I decided to make an Angelina's run after work to stock up because of the tariffs and I couldn't make it until 15 minutes before closing (I know) and Wade was helpful, recommended me some shengs (I asked) and told me their backstories, and had a long conversation with me about tea and life. Great guy with great tea! (Great prices, too, which I appreciate more every time I visit other tea shops) First review: I first came here as a non-tea enthusiast because my tea enthusiast friend wanted to come. Angelina's very quickly turned me into a tea enthusiast & now I can appreciate how fortunate Winston-Salem is to have their tea selection! The owner is very nice and helpful. I'm surprised by the reviews saying he was rude, I've experienced his sarcasm and always taken it as lighthearted and funny.

This place has been included into my monthly budget. I am running out of glass jars to store loose tea in, but that's ok. I love being able to start a busy day with a fresh loose green tea and ending it with something decaffeinated and more savory. Wade has it all. Something for everyone. Not to mention an exquisite online store as well. This place is the perfect gift giving destination. Featuring local honey and olive oils. Great charcuterie boards and meats. And an overall awesome grocery section packed full of great gift ideas. All at reasonable prices. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. Do the city a favor and shop local. He isn't just selling teas. He is selling an experience that will boost your self care routine.

Extremely rude man behind the counter basically ruined my experience, when I asked about sugar and ice respectively I was snapped at both times. It’s unfortunate because I’ve been here before and I really enjoy the atmosphere and products but people like that who I assume like to gatekeep tea to laymen like me ruin it for everyone. Very disappointed.

Update: Just noticed the owners response here and, wow. I really couldn’t have illustrated my point better if I tried. Not only is this long-winded, asinine response completely irrelevant to my complaint, it’s also completely self-serving and ridiculous. In case it wasn’t clear, my problem is not with the fact that the dunce running this place won’t put sugar or milk in my tea personally, it’s that he was very rude to me when I asked about the items I requested. The business was almost completely empty and I was totally pleasant up until I was snapped at, and then instead of apologizing he tells me to not be offended so easily. Judging from the other reviews, I’m not the first person to experience this behavior and with this joker running the joint I’m sure I’m far...

If i could give this place 8 stars, I would.

This is by far the highest quality tea shop in winston salem. A total hidden gem!!! The shop owner is kindhearted, warm, and helpful. He has an extensive wealth of knowledge of tea and flavor pairings. And he will tell you about them if you kindly ask. I've found that approaching a selection this large (more than 600 jars of tea!!!!) is easier to sort through if you ask specific questions about the teas themselves rather than broad or open-ended "anything goes" questions. This place is a quick stop or an "explore for hours" kind of place if you're a curious type.

Other than the 600+ teas, my favorite things to stop by to get are their chocolate truffles that are to-die-for.

This shop is also wonderful for European spices, oils, matcha, pottery, and tea wares. They've got interesting sorts of olive oils, avocado oils, Italian noodles, etc. That I didn't even know existed!

If you're looking for unique, high-quality imported goods from Europe or well-made pottery, or just a really nice small business to support, this is the best place you'll find in...

I had a list of herbs to make a tea that I liked, and a friend of mine suggested I stop in here. I was also interested in trying something new. Giving 2 stars because they had several things that I was in search of, but it seems as though the guy at the counter seemed to be a bit bothered. Upon entering, we were never greeted, I spoke first, when we proceeded to ask questions he seemed either irritated or uninterested. He also barely gave us a change to finish statements when we asked about specific products, no suggestions or anything just kind of rude, especially cutting us off. Clearly we are trying to gain knowledge of everything that you have since we have never been here before. If he would have listened instead of speaking out of turn maybe there would be more business. After reading reviews it seems that a few others have had the same experience. Please work on your customer service skills! I won’t be back so you don’t have to try to explain your self like you did in your previous reviews, because I don’t care, just want to...
